Hang on...I forgot a grievance. The newer charging cable blows. You have to ram it in and hope it doesn’t dislodge itself or it won’t charge. CALL ME FUCKIN CRAZY but when a new part comes out it should be a step forward, not three steps back.

Hmmm... More like two, I believe. Leastwise that was my experience, and what I observed of others, when I still used Android mobile devices.
By comparison: Our iPhone 6S' are about 4-1/2 years old and still going strong. I had a new battery put in mine when Apple was doing the $30 battery deal a year ago or so. Didn't need it, but it was only $30, so...
We'll upgrade, probably to used or refurb'd X's, when T-Mobile deploys 600MHz in our area, to get the improved coverage. And that's really the only reason.

Had a earlier Samsung S6 Edge+ on which the charger port died. Frail little pins in its plug. I raised 13 kinds of hell with Samsung on line. My newer LG and your new Samsungs have the better quality USB to USB C type plugs so no more dealing with frail little pins in directional plug ends.

I tried going from iPhone 7 to an Android phone. I had Android prior to the Iphone 7. I returned it after 3 DAYS! I kept getting all these damn alerts, the OS was very clunky, it chewed through battery like crazy, I spent hours trying to configure things out of it. I returned it and ate the Verizon $50 restocking fee and went with an I phone XS about 2 years ago and have been very happy with it.

It was a Kyocera duraforce pro I think it was. It was MIL-SPEC drop proof, water proof, etc. etc...… Had a huge battery 3240 MAH and by 4pm I was looking for a charger and never had that issue with an iPhone. I had one of the Kyocera phones prior to the iPhone and it was a great phone.....The phone was new.....

Hmm, I made the switch from Android to iPhone when the iPhone 5 came out. Went from 5 to 6. 6 to 7 for free by changing carrier.
7 to X and now 11 Pro max. Never had any of the problems that seem to plague you.
I mean if simply plugging it in and not yanking the cord out is an insurmountable task are you sure Apple is the issue? Maybe it’s something else...
What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I had a similar list of grievances with my android devices. I think it boils down to age. At some point the older phones are incapable of keeping up. That appears to be true regardless of OS.

Best step up for an older iphone is a newer iphone.
I moved from an SE not long ago to an iphone 11. Big improvement.
We get issued android phones; most guys forward those to their iphones and use the iphones.

Virtually everyone. There are a myriad of terrific cellphone offerings out there (and several more coming in the next two months). Primary difference at this point is cost.
Unless you're a gamer or power user, the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL are terrific phones for about half the price of a new iPhone. And the 4a is only a month away.

I wish people would give this a rest. I run a four year old Android phone and it's been absolutely rock solid from the beginning. And as for Android being easier or harder than IOS, its not. It's very different, but once you adapt to it, it's every bit as simple to use as an iPhone.

2-3 years and no more software or OS updates, batteries are tits up in 18 months, etc.

Disclaimer: I am not a fan of Samsung phones. That said, Samsung caught so much hell over their last generation UI that their latest (One UI) is actually a huge improvement over the last. I hear far less grief from my Samsung owning friends these days over the UI.

Love my OnePlus. Great phone, great internetting, even better camera. Hadn't checked recently, but they apparently leaked some info on it.
I've been happy with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 I've had for over a year.
I am a fairly technical person, but I find the interface reasonably intuitive to use.
I've also experienced good reliability from this device. I tend to leave it on all the time and reboot somewhere between once and twice monthly whether it needs it or not.
Finally, Samsung really stays up on security updates, and issues reasonably quick updates when issues are found, even for this slightly older device.

I've got a Google Pixel 3aXL. Good camera, long battery life, very fast charging. The only drawback is it's not as waterproof as is bigger brother the Pixel 4 due to actually having a headphone jack. I like that! The screen has slightly less resolution as the Pixel 4 too. I can't tell the difference seeing them both side by side. It's price is definitely right... approx $450.

Everything you claim about iPhones can truly be said about all other cell phones. As far as planned obsolescence goes, do you really expect someone to create a final product that will last, unchanged, for all time? Seems kind of silly. If your battery life sucks, you phone must be very old. Do you have any other rechargeable devices that have lasted as long as your phone?
