Los Angeles hit-and-run driver who plowed into mom and baby in stolen car is murdered after light sentence

A Los Angeles 17-year-old who ran over a mother walking her baby in a stroller in 2021 and received just a few months of diversionary camp as punishment was gunned down in Palmdale, California, this week.

Kristopher Baca, whom Fox News Digital has previously not identified due to his youth, pleaded guilty to the hit-and-run last year.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office confirmed his death Friday but said the examination was still pending.

Deputies found him dead with gunshot wounds in a Palmdale driveway on the 83600 block of 11th Street East on Wednesday evening, according to the sheriff's office.

Sources close to the investigation said he had been at a fast food restaurant earlier trying to "get with a girl."

As he walked home alone, a car pulled up next to him and an argument broke out. Someone in the vehicle opened fire, then sped off.

Given the light sentence by a soft on crime prosecutor unwilling to do the right thing, my guess is not too many cops will be interested in righting the wrong that righted the original wrong.



Not to be cold, but some folks just shouldn’t be upright. The deceased was 15 at the time of the HR, was on drugs, and per the article posted:

” The teen was already on felony probation for poisoning a high school girl's drink at the time of the hit-and-run, which surveillance cameras captured on Aug. 6, 2021.’


I’d say divine retribution caught up with him. The world is a better place now and won’t miss him.

If I am not mistaken the mother and child survived.

The Mom and baby survived. When interviewed about this development the mother did say her husband was out of town:-))

Stealing cars, poisoning drinks, running over people and fleeing the scene, "trying to get with a girl (the wrong girl?)" ... what has he done that we haven't heard about?
Sounds like any number of people may have found the deceased's behavior objectionable.
I don't envy the police their job in trying to sort this out.

Defense lawyers. Their client's victims are just inconsequential to them.

ALL that and he got 5 to 7 months of diversionary camp... despite being on probation for felony poisoning - spiking a high school girl's drink.
