I have three concrete bird baths. The largest at 30" across ,holds 2 gal. Of water. The other two hold a gal. Each. The largest seems to hold a gallon of water the longest, one of the smaller baths holds it a lot shorter period and the third comes in right between. All three have very different textures , none are painted. All were purchased at garage sales. Who would a guy contact to find out why all three have different durations of water loss ?
