No MSM coverage yet............luv to know the perp's affiliation...... A Christmas Eve fire at one of Philadelphia's most historic sites was set intentionally by an arsonist, investigators believe. Multiple agencies were called to Independence Hall National Historical Park in Old City at about 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24 after a patrol officer found "a large fire engulfing the basement" at Carpenter's Hall said the National Park Service in a statement. Rangers say the fire is being investigated as arson but did not describe their evidence. The condition of the building following the blaze was not immediately clear. Carpenter's Hall was the meeting place for the First Continental Congress in 1774, and is where the Pennsylvania Provincial Conference officially created the Commonwealth by declaring independence from the British Empire in 1776, according to the building's website. Authorities are seeking the public's aid in tracking down the arsonist. To submit a tip, call or text 888-653-0009 or visit the National Park Service website. https://dailyvoice.com/pennsyl...torical-park/852935/ https://6abc.com/carpenters-ha...k-historic/12626966/ "No matter where you go - there you are"

I may have seen and visited Carpenters Hall as a youngster on vacation. The importance of this place at that time I would not have grasped. Perhaps a future visit is in order. Shame on who would damage such a historic site. This place needs to be better secured.

In addition to 24-hour NPS staffing, it already has around-the-clock contract security working fixed and roving posts. Short of a border-style wall, they'd be hard-pressed to do much more. They also have tons of homeless folks, who also coincidentally work fixed and roving posts. Don't know if that plays into the fire, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Take the budget for those 80,000 IRS agents, use that instead for plain clothes security and investigators to secure these places of our country's heritage and patrimony. With organizations like antifa and blm outwardly stating their goals of upending and erasing our country's history, places like this are on the hit list. Right now it's the crazies, who pray for conflict; for the next big social upheaval it'll be the landmarks and memorials. They targeted confederate symbols already in '20-21, and much of their vitriol spilled-over to targeting anything/anybody from the 19th century that weren't connected with the confederacy or, slavery.
