Four weeks ago I developed Left Lower Lobe viral pneumonia that turned into sepsis followed by vascular collapse. 911 called by family, taken to local hospital ICU - saved my life!
Released to home after 8 days. A week goes by and, damn! 911 again, this time a heart attack from the virus going after my heart!
Taken to a huge hospital (2,000 beds)to the cardiac unit - once again, I dodge the Reaper!
I should get moved to inpatient rehabilitation tomorrow, insurance allowing.
I am in my 85th year, it looks as though I will have a few more!
Moral of the story - take care of yourselves!
