Won't be buying anything with the Nike logo if I have a choice. Unfortunately they are a supplier and sponsor to USA Archery so I may be stuck with a few articles of clothing with the douche. My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

Preferred Converse when they made something other than chucks. Otherwise, I buy what fits my feet. Don't care about politics. A Perpetual Disappointment...

Just return your Nike’ to the retailer you purchased them from and tell them you want you money back.. Even if they don’t refund you, if this is done enough, The schmucks in Beaverton May get a message... ______________________________________________ Life is short. Something I always wonder about. Doesn’t everyone in this “demographic” on a forum like this who says, “I haven’t bought anything from XYZ for years,” just validate a company’s decision? “Yeah, see? We’re not selling anything to that type of people anyway, so how they react to this move doesn’t matter. The people who buy our products will either think it’s a good idea and support us, or won’t care.” It’s when people say, “I used to buy your stuff, but no more,” that they will (or at least might) pay attention. We see the other all the time, however: “Starbucks coffee tastes like burnt cork,” “Everything that company sells is overpriced; haven’t shopped there in years,” “Poor quality that only idiots buy,” etc. Why even bother except as another opportunity to express an opinion? ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. I just ordered some new shoes last night. Because of Nike's stand they wern't even considered. May not make a difference but then again, if enough people vote with their money it might. _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." Would it be out of line to give visitors some flip flops, tell them to leave their kapernicks in their car, and not to wear them over anymore? ________________________________________________________ You never know...

Haven't in years. Won't start now. I've worn New Balance for years they make wide widths and still manufacture in the US. My kids will be steered away from Nike. God Bless and Protect the Once and Future President, Donald John Trump.

I was thinking today that it is kind of strange that most of the time when some boycott comes up I can't participate because I don't use the brand in question anyway. I don't know if it is just coincidence or if it is a demographics thing. I just read about Levis supporting gun control. I haven't bought a pair of Levis in years. Same with Nike shoes. I can't tell you the last pair I owned. Maybe grade school over 30 years ago. No reason other than nothing they make appeals to me. I know my son likes Nike shoes because they fit him well. I will encourage him to look at different brands next time we go to the store but I am not going to sacrifice his comfort. If I looked around I bet including his shoes we have less than half a dozen Nike products and most of those are probably footballs. I am not planning on throwing any of it away but I am not going to buy any more either. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

SO many companies support something I don't, so eventually, I won't be able to buy anything. However, there is a big difference to me whether they support it quietly or try to use it as a marketing tool.

This. Companies and their owners are allowed to have their views, and shouldn’t be penalized for it. However, when they try to push their politics to the forefront, and make their views synonymous with their brand, I now have a problem. I’m sure Apple is full of raging liberalism, but so far they haven’t coupled their politics with their products, so I’m a customer. Nike, Levi’s, et al seem to want to force their politics before their brand, and for me that’s a turn-off. I don’t want anyone to assume my politics from a piece of clothing I’m wearing. Nike has now done just that. Demand not that events should happen as you wish; but wish them to happen as they do happen, and you will go on well. -Epictetus

You know what else is so ironic? This guy proclaimed a message of social injustice and oppression. And then he cashed in on that very message, disproving the whole point.

Kapernick is suing the NFL because he lost his job and he thinks it is because of his politics. He clearly doesn't want to sacrifice anything. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014
