RaiseHalLooking for a portable kerosene space heater with fan
But must have a timer feature but dont need a thermostat so I could turn manually it on for 10 minutes or so for my basement and leave. I had a redy heater but the fan has crapped out and the old one didn't have a timer. I have several carbon monoxide detectors. Budget unimportant as long as it has a timer function. Thanks all.

ensigmaticDon't know about the timer, but a propane heater would probably be a better bet.
My 30-60,000 BTU "torpedo" propane heater has never budged the CO detector in the garage.

BassamaticI have a small one out in my barn. 50,000 btu. Plug it in, runs on Kerosene or stove oil. It heats up pretty fast but I really don't use it much anymore. You have to vent the building somewhere and Kerosene is really damn expensive nowadays.
I would go with propane myself.

ubelongoutsideBy portable do you mean no line power?

springnrAn alternative solution to consider is a separate timer.
I had a sump pump giving me problems as it's capacity was oversized for the application. A 15 amp programmable timer solved the problem by allowing the run and cycle times to be tailored to the application.
I chose
TOGOAL Timer Outlet Infinite Cycle Programmable Plug Switch for Lights and Home Appliances, 2 Packs (15A/1800W).

RaiseHalI've got power. Maybe I should look into propane as the old kerosene heater did smell up the basement. Im not really concerned as to the price of fuel as my old unit would burn no more than a gallon a season. Only use it maybe twice a day or so for 10 minutes at a time.
By portable I mean small, light, and easily moveable.

41If you are not using it that long, why not get a 1500 watt electric.
