RipleyLong ago there was a similar T-bone wreck in Houston, something like 15 were killed in a van, many kids. Everyone died of broken necks. I guess they all jerked their heads 90 degrees milliseconds before they were struck.

old rugged crossI will say it is just horrible, since so many lost were children no doubt.
So preventable and so needless to happen. What a screwed up deal on so many levels.
Rip little ones. Bless those called to deal with such mayhem.

911BossPic from one article....
Based on the road markings and culvert compared to Google Maps satellite view I would say this shot is from the north (bottom of frame) looking South (top of frame).
Hwy 115 at Norrish road runs N/S and at the time of day (early morning) the shadows from vehicles would appear to confirm orientation of the photo. Anyone’s guess which way the semi was traveling (north or south) so the expedition mush have been cross from either east to west or west to east from Norrish road.

Russ59Say what you will about the pandering Democrats to encourage illegal immigration....but this is still a horrific tragedy on a human level and was entirely preventable.

Looking at the picture that Boss posted, I don't see any gravel; they look empty to me.

jimmy123xI own an Expedition. I cannot fathom how you could fit 15 in it if people were laying on top of each other, let alone 25-27

The rear seats/benches was taken out apparently so, everyone was piled-in; they bounced around like a pebble in a soda can.
Crazy 24-hrs in the region, with the Navy convoy accident and death on I-5,
the shoot-out at the convention center last night and this. No shortage of drama

MuddflapThe way the Expedition's wrapped around the nose of that tractor, it's a wonder anyone survived.
