ShifferbrainsHybrid Toyota won't start. Been sitting a long time
Water in the car is definitely worrisome. Need to get to the hybrid battery and see if water did indeed get inside the case, and the connections. First, find the orange interlock and remove it just in case there is a short to the battery case.
If you have a code reader see if you can pull any codes.
My bet is that the starting issue rides with the hybrid battery alone.

Don't fart around with anything this age that's a hybrid.
Get yourself as low a mileage Lexus L-whatever with that creamy V8 and laff.....

2013-2016 Lexus GS is currently leading the charge.
05-06 LS430 is not off the table.
If the Avalon was available in AWD a 13-17is Avalon Hybrid would likely be in the running.
But I really, really, dislike FWD only vehicles.

trapper189I apologize if this has been mentioned:
Read the manual and find out how to start the car when it doesn’t automatically recognize the fob. For example, on my Focus ST, there’s a spot in the bottom of the center console where you set the fob to start the car.
