Granted it is supposed to be in the 20s tonight but good weather is approaching. Normally when not in my duty boot or working in the yard my feet reside in the most comfortable pair of footwear on the planet Adidas Adilette Slide.
I currently have 12 pair and have likely owned likely close to 100 pairs in my life.
But with this Covid stuff I see myself wearing them much less if at all when going out.

I have become lazy and hate tying shoes I want easy in and easy out.

https://www.vans.com/shop/shoe...sics-classic-slip-on

Top choices at the moment are some classic Vans slip ons

or maybe a set of custom Nike Air Huarache
https://www.nike.com/u/air-hua...000414/1588727030071

Looking for comfort, breathable, and no full leather. American made is a huge plus but New Balance is the only one I know of and have yet to see a slip in on.

Earlier this year I purchased some Sketcher slip on shoes and to me they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have used. So I purchased 2 of them. One pair and style for athletic/everyday and the other for casual/work. If you have a Sketcher store near you the shoes are regularly on sale for 30 to 50% off the regular price and sometimes they have sales. God Bless Smile

I shifted from Rockports to Merrill’s to Skechers. Like these:

https://www.amazon.com/Skecher...37&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1

These are the best shoes I have ever owned for leisure. I have 5 pairs and counting.

I am in my 3rd pair of Adidas DPRs. Amazing comfort and look good too. I find a huge selection on eBay for around half of the listed retail price below.

Did the same last year in the extra wide version as I take a 4E, 5E, or 6E width. They are very comfortable but a minor issue: the heel cup is way too wide and as a result the heel slips while walking.

TXJIM, your Adidas DPRs are NOT slip ons. Frown They're laced.

Just curious what Covid has to do with not wearing the Adidas'

Depending on that I was going to recommend Crocs.

I don’t want the Covid on my feet and then bring it into the house. I’d have to wash my feet every time I come in the house.
Our shoes come off in the garage.

I can’t help but laugh at all the goobers all masked up, gloved up wiping everything down yet they are wearing sandals then just track everything on their feet into the house.

The DPRs are not what I am looking for. If they are laced they need to have a contiguous shoe/tongue like the Huarache I posted above where the laces are only there if you really need to crank down the tightness for more athletic use.

Thanks, hopefully some stores will open soon and I can try some more stuff on.

My choice:

Santoni “Reed” penny loafers. Comfy with class. Their soles are wonderfully flexible. Pricey, but they’re a lifetime investment, if well maintained. I have two pairs – brown and black. Got both on sale from Nordstrom.

But, yeah, they’re “full leather”.

I just bought a pair of Alpine Swiss slippers from Amazon, for $25. Suede outer, fake shearling on the inside. They are comfy and slip on easily. They are shaped like moccasins, and have a hard sole. At that price, if they last a year I'll be happy.

When in doubt, mumble

I have been wearing slip on boat shoes most of my life.

I go between Sperry and Timberline depending on the style.

They keep evolving over time.

My current pair is the Men's Billfish PLUSHWAVE Boat Shoe

https://www.sperry.com/en/bill...s-boat-shoes&start=1

Another one is this from timberline

https://www.timberland.com/sho...-boat-shoes-74013214

I keep them loosely tied and slip them on.

My son is on his feet a lot and likes slip-on casual shoes. These Kuru shoes are his favorite (Kivi model). I'm thinking of getting some for myself.

I was hesitant about buying the Sketchers slip on sneaker but when I tries them on, I was sold instantly. They are super comfortable, lightweight and feel like a pair of slippers. When they wear down I will buy another pair.
