Am I the only one who enjoys the TV ads by Duluth Trading Co.? I think their cartoonist is great.

I've never bought any of their products, but I do like the commercials.

I just outfitted two of the Jr Darthfusters with Duluth Trading pants, shirts and light jackets. The stuff is costly but well worth it IMO. Quality is way superior to Levis and the Mall clothing. That, and the store staff are friendly and helpful. Their clever commercials and clothing nomenclature is what brought me to them.

Shortly before discontinuing it, they toned it down, removing the licking part. This is like editing the farts out of the Blazing Saddles campfire scene.

I've got a lot of DTC clothing and other items.

IMO their everyday price is awfully high so some time ago I got on their email list for discount info.

Right now, just about every day, they are running 25-30% off and free shipping per daily email info.

That discount sure makes it much easier to whip out the $$$ to pay for items.

They have built a lot of brick & mortar stores, if you have one near you make a trip in.

My bro-in-law, the farmer, swears by their gusseted shirts, he says he has ruined many other brand shirts over the years from armpit rip outs but now none from DTC.

Great quality, but the pricing has forced me to shop elsewhere. I can afford just about anything I want or need, but the habits of a lifetime paying the bills and feeding the kids are difficult to break.

I’m a big fan of their Wrinklefighter line of button-down shirts as well as their polos (having seen recommendations here on SF for the latter) but, as noted above, have waited on various email-specials / sales to make purchases. Those Wrinklefighters are spendy at full-rack. They just work very well for me.

I concur with the OP that I like their commercials.

I used to really like their clothes back when they were great quality. However, quality magically went downhill at the same time they eliminated their unconditional return program (imagine that). Didn't mind paying a premium for premium quality, but do mind paying a premium for their current quality.

Used to be a big fan of theirs and a majority of my wardrobe since moving to Alaska has come from them. That said over the last year or so their quality has really taken a steep nose dive. Materials are not nearly the same weight and the construction is lacking as well. Their Free Swinging flannel shirts were great. Bought 2 this year and the material is noticeably lighter and after one wash the plackets and collars and puckered and rolled.

It's too bad their stuff used to be heavyweight and high quality, especially the Alaskan Hardcore Gear. Now, they're just kind of like the Gap in flannel.

think I'm going into year 10 or so on original order of their Buck Naked boxer briefs. Comfy oh hell yes. And finally there's enough wear along the material on top of the elastic. Now I have excuse to buy some more.

Yes the elastic continues without stretch/sag/other complaint.

Never seen the commercials until that link. They do have a lot of simple cartoon logo items that are pretty funny. I still like their clothes if on sale, especially the pants with a discrete leg pocket. Very heavy duty cotton.

Over the last few years I've accumulated over a dozen Spillfighter Trim Fit w/pocket tee shirts, most in Navy. Lighter weight, most all stains wash out. A few of the heavier Longtail T short and long sleeve tees; wore a new black one under a dark jacket to a funeral; looked great, like an Italian priest. Men's AKHG Gravel Bar 11" Cargo Shorts are winners. Men's DuluthFlex Ballroom Khaki 5-Pocket 11" Shorts are my fave, with their cell phone pocket along the leg. I'll put items in my cart and keep checking until they are on sale or closeout.

Quality is still "OK" - but not what it was a few years back. I too wait for sales - not gonna spend $75 on a pair of shorts.

The ads are awesome.

This time of year they “usually” do a gift card bonus. Buy x in gift card, get another with 5 or 10 dollars. Then wait for after Christmas sale, best deals of the season. Stack the gift card and bonus gift card onto the sale prices. Early January is deep discounts. (Notice…the above information is based on prior years, who knows what they will do this year).

I have found that the men’s clothing is just okay, nothing exciting. However, the woman’s flexpedition pants I am told are awesome from everyone who has a pair. My wife has some and anyone who tries them on ends up getting a couple of pairs.

Granted, their prices are a bit on the high side, but they have periodic sales and they have a great warranty.

The illustrations in their catalogs have always impressed me, since I have no artistic talent.

Their long tail t shirts are perfect for concealed carry. I can usually get them for $12-$13 on sale.

I mainly wear their flannel shirts, the pockets are perfect. All of my old flannel shirts now see duty painting and changing oil. They cost a few bucks extra but they are worth it.

I have a lot of their stuff but I haven't purchased anything for a number of years. I have heard here their quality has gone down. I have about 8 pairs of their cargo pants. Mostly the Alaskan Hardgear and they are still wearing tough going on about six or seven years now. I have about three pairs of the lined cargo pants for when I go ice fishing or UTV riding in the wintertime.

I do visit their website on occasion and I don't think they even offer the Alaskan Hardgear cargo pants any longer. As a matter of fact I would say it seemed to me their overall selection has gone down. I discovered I can buy Carhart's cheaper and they wear well. They have some offerings in a 35 waist which is perfect for me. Have not found that sizing anywhere else.
