A close friend passed unexpectedly a few weeks ago. He had no boys only one girl, who has no interest in hunting or shooting. His wife asked me to help her with his shooting items. I was close to this fellow for thirty years. I always knew he was an accumulator, some call a pack-rat. I came across this can, about 1/4 full, on his storage shelf. Do you remember these prices ?

You can get factory new brass cased 9mm FMJ for ~$110/500 ($0.22 each) currently.

So $130/500 ($0.26 each) is about the same as current 9mm pricing, when factoring in the cost of the ammo can (~$20).

I have much older Georgia Arms ammo than that.

I moved the can when I was doing some remodeling. The can has only a couple of hundred rounds left.

I don't shoot that caliber much anymore.

Yeah, I miss those .357SIG GA days. I'd grab a bunch at the local gun show when they came. I still have a lot of it and other .357SIG. With today's prices, I shoot less of it at the range.

I have a few of those cans myself.

I remember getting 1,000 rounds of 9mm for $90 when I first got into shooting.
