I walked downstairs last night and the wife had ABC News on. I say the same thing to her everytime I see her doing this. I point at the screen and say "They're lying to you."
But, oh, there was this ever so cute story about a 4 year old boy being a youtube sensation (do not post this video here) because he sang Lennon's Imagine for a school talent show, and oh, after he was through, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Then, they show this kid singing about imagining there are no countries and no religion.

No countries = no borders

No religion? Does anyone need that explained?

But, it's not this kid's doing. ABC News made a big deal out of it. Hello? McFly??

I'm sure this kid's mommy is not a loony leftist. Roll Eyes

But, here's the kicker- the talking head said that the kid had originally planned to do a more upbeat song, but he chose imagine because he knows there's a lot going on in the world.

For fuck's sake!! He's four years old!! Tell us about tensions in the Middle East, little Timmy!

A lot going on in the world??? Son, you don't even know what's going on in your pants, much less the world. Jesus! Roll Eyes

EVERYTHING on network news broadcasts is politicized. Everything.

lol, my 8 year old doesn't even know what's going on in the world.

Hell my nephew in high school only cares about soccer and PS4. Ask him about N. Korea and he'll tell you he loves Korean Beef Bowls Big Grin

I stream random shows I want to watch form Netflix and Amazon, and college sports. Other than that, I don't even look at cable TV anymore.

No... it's not.
There are people who have their eyes glued to the box for hours at a time, absorbing the propaganda. These people may be good people, but they are corrupted by the lies told on this box. They can't seem to avert their gaze and Para can't be in every household to say "They're lying to you."

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The news media in general is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Their lives are ruled by their emotions and they want us to be ruled by them also.

As for Lennon, I wonder what his feelings are now on religion...

My wife, though she knows better, and has even commented about OAN being a better news source, usually has Nothing But Crap running on the TV.

I refuse to even look the the damn thing when one of NBC's propagandists are on.

Perfect example of why I refuse to even look at that crap, much less watch it.

I refer to it as the ``Dominant Entertainment Media Billed As "News",`` but it's not even good entertainment, much less anything resembling "news."

It's crap. It's just crap.

Yeah, try to think back when you were four years old. What were your concerns and interests at that age? Roll Eyes

my wife likes to watch the local NBC affiliate, for the weather she says,,,,

and then Lester Dolt afterwards,

I actually have found it both sad,(nothing but an agenda based news reading) and entertaining,, esp when she gets that it is just that,
as in we both laugh out loud at some of the stupid shit he says,

When I was 4, I told my mother, “I’m going to learn to read, even if it takes all week.”

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

Matchbox cars, my Superman underwear and having my mom make my PB&J's instead of my dad 'cause my dad said "the crust is good for you!" but my mom would trim it off.

What's amazing is this lady says such a stupid thing and no one questions her. It doesn't even remotely pass the smell test that a 4 year old would "know there's a log going on in the world," but she still says it...and people go, "awwwwwwww."

My son turned four a few months ago. He really likes big trucks, heavy equipment, cranes and bulldozers. That sort of thing. And dinosaurs. He’s really into dinosaurs. He couldn’t sing you a son, but he could tell you all you could want to know about a host of different dinosaurs. We’re holding off on world issues for a bit so he can have fun being a little boy for a while first.

The simple fact that the song "Imagine" has become such a theme song for the Liberal-Left shows how postmodernism has produced a mentality of complete mental vacuity.
Now the only "value" is to have no values: having no religion, no country, not thoughts about the future, nothing willing to fight or die for, no values, .....just exist "living for today" and expect the nanny state and Dear Leader to make you safe and unoffended by anything.

How does he feel about the Russian involvement in Syria, and does he have an outlook on capital gains tax?

Whenever there's a story about a kid making a political statement, it's inevitably leftist-related and is a made up story. "Cool story, bro" is the phrase that comes to mind.

I don't even REMEMBER being 4-years old. So I can tell you WITHOUT A DOUBT wondering about "the geo-political impact on the face of America with the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy and its future relationship with the Russians and the mob" was DEFINITELY not on my mind. Much less have the wherewithal to sing a f***ing song about it! I'm sure I was more concerned about my Tonka bulldozer and front-end loader.

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24
