Thank you Very little ![]() |
Running two monitors, a 27 ASUS and 32 HP. Had a 40 inch Sony TV/Monitor, scaling and resolution for it wasn't as good as a decent monitor. No where near the $ you're spending, got the 32 off woot for a couple of hondos but it's namely spreadsheets, web, emails for me...

I'm not in your league, as I use 2x24s. I am almost exclusively a word processor and spreadsheet user. I think I would consider one very large monitor over 2 monitors larger than my 24s. Less wasted desk space and less head swiveling. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Anyone using dual or three 32's? These LG 32" 4k IPS monitors are compelling for $440 each. May even consider 3 monitors at this price. https://www.displayninja.com/lg-32un650-review/ Are dual 32" monitors too big for a standard sit/stand work station setup? I have 27's FHD panels at work, but I haven't been in the office for a year and can't even remember what they were like.

No matter what resolution or size, I prefer multiple monitors. I currently use three monitors. I tried four and it wasn't an improvement for me. I had a co-worker with the 4th one above the center monitor but it was mostly tied up with database programming work that he was monitoring. The main advantage for me is that the three monitors actually help me "organize" my work and focus my attention either on one or two monitors while the third was available for another program or file I need open to refer to. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." 49" curved Monitors are the stuff. Not having that break between two 27" monitors, makes working on dual 27"s hard to go back to. Just make sure your video card can handle it; especially if you get that Samsung G97 that does 240hz. "You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality." ^^^ yep ^^^ No lines between pages is awesome. You can make it one large page ~ great for videos or stack multiple side by side. In my screen shot in an earlier post _ two full sized pages L + C then the R had two half pages {as an example} so you can have a lot going on. Get the bigger the better _ looked at 34's when I started and opted for a 38 which was as big as they got at the time and it is VERY usable. FWIW a friend got a huge 43" for his day trading but still had to get a second screen as it didn't break up the pages in a usable manner. YMMV

I can only speak for myself. 32" is my absolute limit for a desktop. I still prefer 27" screens. 2 or more 27" 4K monitors would be ideal. Down the road, they will also come in handy when repurposed for other uses. You know..... when those 8K and 16ks are the norm. ![]() Either way you go, it's nice to have so many good choices. Twin 27's for my home office. Would not go any bigger - for me. My setup is for work, documents, spreadsheets, Zoom, Teams. I can easily have 4 documents up side by side with full access and no having to scroll around on the document. With 32 in monitors or a third monitor there would be too much looking around for what I do. I usually have the laptop on the left closed - it's on a cooling pad and hooked to a docking station. The laptop on the right is my personal laptop for surfing. ![]() “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” - John Adams

So after a few more hours of research, I pulled the trigger on a pair of 32" 4k Monitors from LG. https://www.lg.com/us/monitors...650-w-4k-uhd-monitor IPS. 10 Bit Color. DCI-P3 95% Color Gamut. HDR "Compatible" (though not actually bright enough to give a full HDR image). Freesync. And about $150 cheaper than the equivalent Dell 27" Ultrasharp 4k's. I'm going to keep my two 24" Dell Ultrasharps. They still function fine. I'll run them in Portrait orientation, giving me an additional 1200 x 1920 workspace on each side. I got two pairs of these monitor arms: https://www.amazon.com/Dual-Mo...fice-products&sr=1-4. I already have one set of arms I'm already using on my Dell, I just bought a second matching set for the new monitors. I've got an RTX2070 in my desktop and it is spec'd to push 4x 4k monitors. 3 display port and 1 hdmi outputs.
