What could go wrong?

Well, other than one of your kids standing in front of this, the images getting uploaded and you having your door kicked and branded as a child porn trafficker? You know, that sort of stuff.

Looks like a real opportunity for video software developers. MovieShop yourself, with full photo realism, into whatever role you want! A boon for gamers too (esp. those who can afford the promotional placement). "Joe Player, you just scored the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl as seen on national TV, what are you going to do now?"

Like most new tech, this would probably be a really good tool if they designed it so you were in control of the data locally.

But they can make even more money by selling your data so they (I'm assuming) require you to send the data through their servers via their app.

I'm sure that's a possibility, but worrying about it is sort of like not going outside because any day now Betelgeuse could go supernova and zap us with a gamma ray burst.

No, the real problem is as SpinZone said, they gonna sell your data and you'll start seeing ads for boner pills and SlimFast.

What about the problem of recognizing the "Before" picture as closer to home than you'd like?
