SchmelbyMy neighbor shoveled the snow off my driveway
I'm retired, His wife is ill, I take care of her when he's not home.
It's nice to have good neighbors!

TomVIt sure is. Night and day difference with helping neighbors since I moved.

pedropcolaPeople helping people is good. I hated my neighbors up in Maryland. Self centered, rules for thee but not me, unruly kids, rude adults. Moving to Florida though, I like my neighbors. No drama no asshole behavior. Hmm, go figure.

darthfusterThat's good stuff. Many years ago when I had three broken ribs and a driveway full of snow, my neighbor came over with his son at night after work and shoveled it by hand. I heard the sound and went out to find them cheerfully in service. I was so grateful. Skip ahead a couple of years and I had the opportunity to return the favor. He had broken some ribs at work. He also had the city coming down on him about finishing a privacy fence. I saw him outside digging post holes with one hand. I grabbed my son and we finished the post holes and set the posts for him. The next weekend we finished the fence together. I all of these years of goodwill later I literally love that man and his family.

Yeah, my Florida neighbors are pretty good. There is a guy who posts on the NextDoor neighborhood app. His profile indicates that he likes guns and bacon.
