I'e always wanted to visit Ft. Sumter, so it's definitely on my radar. And yeah, I'm looking forward to trying some real grits Smile

Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice - pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

Hominy is good, but you'll want to check out Grace & Grit in Mt. Pleasant. Much easier to get in and out of and plenty of parking. It's just across the bridge from Charleston. Great happy hour too if you're into that.

Yes, it will be hot and humid, but not like Houston or Miami.
Wrong. It will be every bit as bad if not worse. My son goes to college in Charleston and having spent many weeks up there visiting and/or vacationing, I can tell you firsthand the heat and humidity are horrible during the summer months. And I live in Orlando year round!

Make sure you do the tours of Ft Sumter and Patriots Point. And if you dig good BBQ, swing through Rodney Scott's BBQ on King Street for a meal.

So--you're agreeing that it's "not like them" (but worse). Wink

I think I'll just let Adrian Cronauer explain it to you and the op.

Meh, nowhere in US is worse than Houston, imo.
