When I first signed up 20 years ago, I signed up to a lot of forums. The AK Forum, S&W, assaultweb....all sorts of firearms and firearm related web forums. I was an active participant on many of them. That was just the way we communicated in those days. Eventually, some died off. Some sold out to advertisers. Some were run by people that just didn't care. Some members faded into obscurity, and the sites just sat there, languishing.

Not SIGforum. It has lasted the test of time for many of us. We have watched as members grew up. We have seen children born, and now on their own life adventures. We have seen some members pass away. We have even seen some prominent members disappear, never to be heard from again. But above all, we have lasted. We embrace the good and bad, and trudge on as only strong people are wont to do. And it is my belief, that it is the character of this forum that encourages, and almost demands that. And for that, I sincerely thank this forum. But, maybe I am getting ahead of myself.

First of all, thank you Mike (para) for providing this place for like minded individuals. You really should pat yourself on the back for what you have achieved, and for bringing all these fine folks together to one great place. Sincerely, thank you.

Secondly, thanks to all the membership here. Without you (the membership), we would not have this great forum to come to everyday. You provide the truth in forms of linked information, the experience of "been there, done that," and the years of accumulated knowledge that is unsurpassed in any online fora. Truly, without this vast base of information that the members here share freely amongst one another, we would have become the echo chamber of forums past. My sincerest gratitude to you all.

Lastly, just a small token of my appreciation. I have a karma that some may be interested in. There will be 3 separate karmas to 3 different members. Only requirement is be a member as of last year, and please be sure these are legal in your area. I'll pick winners this Sunday, using the karmanator (thanks mark123!), and hope to get packages mailed the next day.

Perhaps what brought all of us here, was when we were children, and our thoughts and ideas of "guns." Maybe it was a lever action seen on TV. It might have been a pistol seen on the silver screen. Or, your family used them, on the ranch or farm to get some dinner. But, almost all of us had toy guns, then, advanced to the real ones.

I grew up in California, and used pvc pipe to make toy guns, but I had some special ones. Some of these were kinda "taboo" back in the day in that state. I certainly know that people were shot by police after pointing them at the police, so they can be realistic looking enough to get you killed. And, with that out of the way, this is what I am offering.

I have some toy guns I have put into 3 groups. Maybe you have kids that would play with these, or maybe you just want them for yourself, I won't judge Wink. Just let me know which # you would like, and good luck!

Onto the goods:

#1. This is the "Fire and water" karma. There is a squirt gun or two, and a couple of cap guns. Some use the rounded caps, others use the strip.

#2. Next up is the yellow and red bullet karma. Some of these have been used heavily, and show typical worn and broken parts. Most can be fixed easily, and they all still shoot. There is also some Lazer tag stuff in there.

#3. Last is the set "that'll get you killed." Wink. There is a Transformers Megatron that some idiot Roll Eyes superglued together. Also is a very early Daisy "softair" type gun that uses shells and plastic BBs. This one never really worked great, and still is kinda blah, but, the coolness factor of it always made it a favorite for me when I was 10-11 years old.

Thank you SIGforum for the last 20 years. So much has happened in all our lives since then, and I am hoping we all enjoy another 20 together. Smile

Congrats on your 20!

Please enter me for option #3. looks like it could be fun.

Thanks for your generosity.

Edit: If I am lucky enough to win this Karma for option 3, I would only want the Megatron as I had one of these when I was a kid.

If anyone else would want the Daisy softair, they would be welcome to it and I'll chip in with the postage if necessary.

I'm not in for the karma but I do wish you congratulations on your milestone.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Congrats on 20 years.

The gun in the upper right of the first picture brings back memories. I'm sure I had one like it. It used those plastic-style strips of caps. You would feed them into the magazine and then it would not only make a bang from the cap but eject the small piece of plastic.

Well, obviously not a karma for everyone, I get it. I am surprised no one picked #2, those were some of my favorite firing toy guns when I was younger. If anyone still wants them, let me know, otherwise I'll toss them when I head to the dump this week.

Not many entered, but I did run the Karma Picker (thanks mark123!) multiple times (Rey HRH, should buy a lottery ticket Wink ).

First winner is .38supersig, whom elected just the Megatron, no problem. Congrats!

Second winner was Mars Attacks, whom I believe just wanted the Daisy, so that works. Congrats to you also!

Comet24 was the only one to even mention #1, so congrats to you!

All please email me with your address, and I will get them out asap.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Smile

ETA: redstone was nice enough to claim #2, he and his son will have a blast. Thanks!

It took a while, but I was able to take the 100+ pieces apart and clean the glue off to get them working as they should.

Hope everyone else is having as much fun with theirs as I did with mine.

Thanks again bigpond73
