What? Nobody told me. I would have bought a few before that. Any made in Canada? Or everything from chicom?
For hiking and sweating, I've been using Propper boonies. Not USA but not chicom either.

Check out the Filson tin cloth hat. I have had one that I use for bad weather fishing for the past 10+ years. It has been great.

As you're searching for a new hat option, check out Sunday Afternoons . They've been gaining traction lately within the outdoor specialty market and their range of products covers what most people are looking for.
The build quality isn't the primary issue. At least not for me.

Yes, sir. We need to get to the point where companies move manufacturing out of nations hostile to us. A strong China is not good for the rest of the world.
I just bought 3 hats from Sunday Afternoon. Two straw for summer and one felt for winter. I have been wearing my military issue boonie hats since the late 90’s but with the extreme heat in South Texas the boonie hats seem to hold in heat. The straw hats work better in the heat.
I have a Landhawk by these folks and they are well made. Partially made in USA...and Taiwan...and China, though. Pretty damn tough to get away from it these days.
It's like a boonie only with a formed bill. Very light and very comfortable.
