Ronin1069Anyone watching the OJ Simpson parole hearing?
All of the networks are broadcasting and it's being linked on many websites.
He seems so confused. Constantly looking around the room and giving weird facial expressions.

220-9erI'm sure we'll hear the highlights.
I've already wasted too much of my life following legal proceeding for this high profile loser.

Ronin1069I feel like the tone of the board is "we ain't buying it. Enjoy prison for a few more years".

Ronin1069Amazing that his 'team' didn't prep him better. He didn't complete the programs he had committed to, says he didn't know about restitution, excuse after excuse. Enjoy a longer term in prison, OJ.
The analyst on ABC is shocked at how poorly OJ is doing. Not taking accountability for anything, almost like he’s relitigating things.

Ronin1069So for those who know about this stuff, is the decision already pretty much made?
Can his performance today tank his parole?

Sailor1911OJ will never own any of his behavior. Never taught that he had to as a kid, player and subsequent. Rot in jail, murderer.
Heard him say that "Nobody has ever said that he pulled a weapon on them". Well, asshole, that's because they are dead.
Place your clothes and weapons where you can find them in the dark.

flashguyNot watching. Not interested. Hope he stays in prison. (Didn't watch him even when he was playing football--didn't care then and don't now.)

nhtagmemberhe is in prison because of a second-rate botched robbery
anyone else would have gotten a year or two
he was acquitted of the murder but the judge decided to take his own bit of revenge - which is a travesty of justice
he served far longer than most people serve for holding up a 7-11
he should be let go and off the taxpayer expense
the murder trial should have NOTHING to do with his being released or not
there I said it

probably not a popular position BUT...how would you personally like it if you were involved in a MV accident where someone died, you were found not guilty but 10 years later a judge decided he didn't like the verdict so when you got busted for shop lifting he sentenced you to 30 years
you might not like OJ, but this is beyond ridiculous
and with OJ being free, the Goldman's now get to go after him again - he will have a far tougher life on the outside than in prison
he should be granted parole

I know a little (enough to be dangerous) about this stuff. Acknowledging that you screwed up, stating that you have learned your lesson, assuring the board that when released you will do everything in your power to make it right, that you are willing to educate others to NOT do what you did, and that if released, there is no way the board will EVER see you again because you will be a model citizen.
Abject and complete acceptance of your actions, the consequences thereof, an admission of error, a commitment to make things right as much as you can, and a commitment to never sin again are critical to passing a hearing. Given what is being said about this (I'm not watching live) I think it unlikely that he will be released.

recoatliftI just have a feeling, he's going to get out.
Do I wish he gets denied, yes.
He still thinks he has done no wrong.

FlashlightboySo here's how it will go down at today's hearing:
1. No one is speaking out against his release so there are no victim impact statements to sway the parole board.
2. Anyone else would've been released already and the parole board knows that if they don't let him go it'll be seen as continued payback for the Ron and Nicole murders.
3. By all accounts he's been a model prisoner.
4. Even if parole is granted, he won't get out until Oct and even then he'll be required to reside in NV for some time. He's not movin to FL or Hollywood right away.
5. He'll do reality TV and make a fortune and pay off the civil judgments against him. You and I won't watch but there are enough smucks in the world that will aka Kartrashians.

mrmn50I watched about 18 minutes of it while I was on the treadmill at the gym. I left a little early because I thought that he would blame me next for his woes.

The travesty of Justice was in 1995.
If this was also a travesty of justice, well, that's just the system finding its equilibrium.
I have no problem whatsoever with him spending the rest of his life in prison at this point.
