How many employees does Boeing and their suppliers have? 10,000? 30,000? Certainly they employ the occasional fat, out of shape diabetic who enjoys the Waffle House too much.
Any actuarials on SF who can run the numbers?

Rey HRHHere’s one thing that’s spoiling the conspiracy angle for me: aren’t the things the whistleblowers whistled about already out in the open and can be verified independently? It’s not like they died and took secrets with them to their deaths.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Maybe. But if I had a whistle and was thinking about blowing it, this would cause me to have a serious rethink.

Why, because the death of the whistleblower invalidates all of the claims, doncha’ know. “He died, so it must all be false”…

jcsabolt2Bigger question is, which politicians own Boeing stock?
Top Shareholders Timothy J. Keating
Leanne G. Caret
Theodore Colbert
Vanguard Group Inc.
BlackRock Inc. (BLK) big backer of ESG movement, members on every major board in the world
Newport Trust Co.
Capitol Trades will show you what politicians have bought and sold.
Narrow down the list of potential suspects. Boeing must have broken a bunch of mirrors, walked under too many ladders or whatever. IF these are not connected the odds have to be absolutely staggering. Time to play the lottery!

They probably knew more and was witholding until the time is right.
And they may have know WAY more and didn't know it.

Possible. But if I was going to be a whistleblower on the up and up, I would lead with my strongest hand to get the most publicity and exposure. There's really no upside to holding back unless you want to leverage and extort money as in, "if you don't pay me off, I'm really going to spill the beans."

I think that BA directly employs 170,000 and it's suppliers probably employ quite a few as well.

nhtagmemberA buddy of mine who works for a subcontractor says there are at least 10 more whistleblowers that will be stepping forward very soon.
Also interesting the timing if another federal investigation
Boeing is a major defense contractor so it’s quite likely that nothing substantial is going to happen to them. However I see sone dark clouds for a lot of Boeing subs

sigspecopsHmm...at least 10 more whistle-blowers? Uh, something tells me that there's likely to be 10 more suicides and accidental deaths in the future.

Monkey WINS the internet today. Anyone who can work a Captain Willard quote into a thread that’s not about Apocalypse Now is good in my book.

RichardCBoeing Starliner mission scrubbed until at least May 10.. I wonder what the astronauts Williams and Wilmore are thinking.

trapper189^^^Probably glad people are looking out for them.
The launch was not scrubbed for an issue with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, but rather for a potentially faulty valve on ULA’s Atlas V Rocket.
