While searching for a cell phone carrier ,
I get. 11 ads for utility man bra's in all shapes ,sizes and colors.

So I reword my search and three phone pouches show up.
And then
11 more ads for tactical carriers for everything from tweezers toclot stop to magazines to scalped and sunglasses.

Are people buying these to walk around ?

I can't imagine using one

So I went to a couple of the websites
In hopes they might offer a simple phone pouch
For a moto G phone,
Without success.

I’ve never seen anyone wearing one of those things here, but we’re a bunch of hicks in these parts.

Perhaps Nite Ize would have a cell phone holster suitable for your needs.

I have one of these and rarely wear it as a chest bag though it doubles as that.
I carry this when I need a gun, knife, flashlight, and extra mags. Usually just carry it has a hip pack.
I have a more flat pack when I just carry a gun. The flat pack disappears under a t shirt.

Lots of the ghetto blasters carry in the cross body chest pouches.
Sometimes two one for the dope and one for the gun. So they can ditch them separately if need be.

I have a several of the cross body bags. I wear them when travelling. Several are set up for CCW but not all of them. They offer easier access than digging around under a zipped up winter coat. When traveling, they give better protection from pickpockets for wallets and cash. Para suggested a cross body bag from 945 Industries. I bought one and its excellent. TomToc and Alpaka make their bags from a material called Xpac. It is lightweight and water resistant.

I have a chest pack for fly fishing? It’s handy for that - really handy actually.

I have a waist pack from Maxpedition that I’ve had for a few years. I can’t recall the name. I only use it as a shoulder bag when we go to Vegas. It holds my phone, wipes/hand sanitizer and some cash and stuff. No gun as I prefer to have that on body. It’s in a grey material and is anything but tactical looking. I like to carry it in front, across my chest as I’d be able to tell if some mope was stupid enough to try to pick pocket it.

One of my doctors saw my cell phone in my shirt pocket and advised me to not carry it that way. Said the electromagnetic waves from the phone shouldn't be close to the heart.

I don't have any pace maker or thing like that. Just a heart that has survived 2 heart attacks and now has 4 stents currently.

I have a LAPG fanny pack that I often will sling over my shoulder. It can hold a G26 w/ 15rnd mag and phone.
Or I can wear it around my waist. Sometimes right next to my nuts.

I usually see a few with them at gunshows or similar,

friend, in his late 70's suggested a fanny pack, he still has one, complete with small auto or Jframe, and loves it,

I have a couple of Hill People Gear kit bags that I use for hiking, kayaking, and running. It's not something I'd just wear around town on a daily basis, though.

I see quite a few of them in my area and can break the group out into three main types. The first is a soy boy, capri pants wearing guy that is likely receiving therapy to lower what little testosterone they have flowing through their body. The second is jacked up very fit guy, likely to have at least one full sleeve tattoo wearing gym style short or pants. The third is a normal looking slightly puffy guy that looks very odd carrying a just tactical enough pack to assure you it contains a firearm. It’s basically the new version of a fanny pack, in fact a lot can double as a waist pack. Regular people don’t even give them a second look around here. The first guy is usually carrying some designer model, second guy is 50/50 carrying a firearm and/or blow out IFAK, third guy is almost certainly carrying a CCW.

I am thinking of throwing one in the car built as an IFAK/CCW w/ a few extra tourniquets but doubt it would get a ton of use. I can definitely see the benefit to having one.

I have one that I wear when riding my recumbent tadpole trike. Fairly small and made of waxed cotton canvas in a muted gray green color, no molle. On one of the early rides that I took, I lost my car keys from the front pocket of my cargo shorts. Fortunately they were in the street in front of my house when I returned. Also besides change and other things escaping pockets, sitting on anything like a wallet in the back pockets is not comfortable when pushing on pedals. This reasonably sized bag allows for a phone and EDC if I keep it compact or smaller. And yeah, I am that puffy guy, LOL.
I also get a kick out of the brand, Nut Sac.

Anyone using the Viktos brand of chest packs? Had been looking at one to use while motorcycle riding. Just curious how they compare to others mentioned in this thread.

Same. I have a HPG kit bag/chest pack for hunting, biking, and kayaking. Not for everyday use.

Mine is Ranger Green (which is sort of a gray-ish version of OD Green). It's not overtly tactical/military.

I have a small Swiss Gear murse, only use it when traveling and only when out all day when I'll need sunglasses, sunscreen, a poncho, a backup battery charger and mints

I have an M-Tac sling bag I use sometimes. Multiple pockets for keys, phone wallet, as well as gun compartment.

Little more “dressy” than a fanny pack and the blue color seems to be less suggestive of a gun
