Ah, a man of high society. Smile

It really is a sweet amp. I’ll get something going, I haven’t played for so long and I’ma little rusty.

Which leads to the question…….

Were the old pick ups bad? Why ya need new ones? (Besides the obvious…I just wanted them)

Tease us with some riffs

Yea, you cannot go “ Anderson “ on us without a clip. I am also wondering about the old pups. Still got ‘em?
By the way, still LOVING the pedal!! Got any new cool inventions?

I actually bought these pickups for my good old Washburn A-15V but it’s not ready to be put back together yet. It needs too be painted and I need to make a new pickguard for it. I was hoping to get it fixed up this winter so I asked Smudge if he has anything interesting for me and did he ever.

I still have the original Strat pickup. They’re the vintage noiseless variety. More like vintage lifeless though. So I’m considering leaving these in the Strat but they probably will end up in the Washburn.

I’ll pick a few riffs to play for you. Got any requests? Big Grin

Here’s what the A-15V used to look like before I hacked it in my youth:

I'm so glad that you are pleased with it. I still use mine and it's still my favorite drive pedal. I really haven't been working on pedals as I'm getting more into tube amps lately. I bought a used Peavey Windsor because I've heard so much about how they are a JCM800 clone. Well, that was a rather majorly overblown opinion. It sounds pretty cheap so I'm going to rip out the PCBs and hand wire it to be something a whole lot better. Big Grin I can't complain because the amp only cost around $200 and I think the tubes and transformers are worth more than that.

I got some sound samples up today. Don't expect good playing or anything.

Sounds good. I just ordered a clone of the EVH Frankenstein pickup made by Jalen. I had it customized with clear bobbins and four conductor wire to I can coil split it. Should be here next week.
