Theres a guy here in goochland who I believe is doing laser etching (maybe engraving?). I think his name here is landwarfare.

Yep. Looks like he does some good work too, haven't done anything myself but I follow him on Instagram and it's quality.

Why is it being engraved? Is it for sentimental reasons or NFA/BATFE/Form 1 reasons?

If the latter, unless they are being creative with who owns it for purposes of the Form 1, she is looking at an unnecessary NFA transfer tax payment of $200.
