Several years ago I was riding in Idaho and when I stopped at a local Yamaha dealer near Ketchum, he told me there was an awesome dirt gravel road that went from there over the mountains to Mountain Home. I tried finding it on a map but had no luck. If anyone knows this route please let me know.

Maybe he's still there... doesn't look like any non paved roads are showing up on google, might be a fire trail, there does appear to be a lot of mountain twisting roads that you could take from Ketchum to Featherville, Trinity Hot Springs, Anderson Lake then on to Mountain Home.

My brother lives and Pocatello and does a fair bit of trail exploring in his Jeep. I'll ask him.

I did a Google Earth search and think I may have located your road. Here is a picture (click on it):

I think your road is marked by the little blue circles--there aren't a lot outside of Ketchum, but it's better defined closer to Mountain Home. Ketchum is in the upper right corner and Mountain Home is at the I-85 symbol in the lower left.

Normally USFS maps are good for this kind of stuff.
