I've been hankering for a Wrangler for a While. I've owned 2 in the past, a 94 YJ Wrangler and a 08 Rubicon. The 94, I built and all that good stuff, the Rubicon, I couldn't bear to take off expensive parts to put more expensive parts on, so I left it stock. I have a build in my mind, so I found a basic 4 door. It has a V6 and a 6 speed manual transmission. The only two options it has is tube steps and a hard top. It has steel wheels, street tires, manual wind up windows and locks. as basic as you can get. I've been watching inventory through out South Florida. Manual transmission Jeeps are really hard to come by these days. I got lucky and found exactly what I was looking for at the closest dealer to my house. Red hardtop stripper! Being the next to the last day of the month, a good deal was had without using a friends and family plan. To top it off a hat that I ordered came in the same day!

and my hat!

Seriously, though, congratulations on your new ride.

Nice!! Keep us abreast of the transformation. The black wheel craze hasn't really hit me, but I like those with the fender and hardtop matching.

That sucking sound you hear growing louder is the vortex spinning under your bank account preparing to suck large quantities of your balance away. Smile Virtually no vehicle on the market sucks up more money in mods than a Jeep.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

The problem is, there are so many aftermarket parts out there now. I went all out on a 94 YJ, there were maybe 3 or 4 suspension manufacturers then, maybe 2 for bumpers and steps etc. These days, the home work takes longer than the wrenching. It is good to have so many options tho! Mustang's, Jeeps and guns! Americana!

Congrats! I have a '17. After two years, it still puts a grin on my face every time I drive it.
