ridewvGun sale flyer from 20 years ago
I was removing dated stuff from my filing cabinet today and found a few old CDNN sale magazines. These images are from 2004-3 so exactly 20 years ago. Just thought I'd share a few pages.

BeancookerPrices are pretty good. I wonder what the Glocks were going for.
$500 for a Hi-Power isn’t too bad.

ridewvThe only Glocks in this flyer are trade-ins, various models. Include case, (1) 10 round mag, manual, for $369-$389. That didn't seem like a great deal to me.

John SteedRunning the numbers through an inflation calculator:
$449.99 in 2004 would be $749.28 in 2024
Still, $750 for a new Belgian HP sounds great.
And for $100 more in 2004, you could get an HP w/ a rear tangent sight calibrated out to 500 yards!

Rick LeeOh man, I really miss the $500 HK P7 PSP deals from CDNN in those days.

ridewvYes those $500 refurbished P7's were a good deal, although I don't recall CDNN selling them? They must have though.
What do you think of the P210 Anniversary?

EdmondI spent some money there years ago:
HK USPc stainless 9mm $600
plenty of USPc mags
P2K 9mm $600
AK of some sort
Now I'm afraid to see what they sell for these days.

darkest2000Wow that brought back memories. I enjoyed flipping through pages of CDNN catalogs while on the "throne".

DaBigBRThe ol' C-D-Ern-Ern catalog!
Glock prices, particularly police trades, have been artificially held down for the last 25+ years since Glock has not raised LE prices. 17 Gen 5 trades can be had for less than $400 today if you hunt.
I recall High Powers starting to go up not long after that would have been printed.
And oh how I miss the $500 P7 PSPs.

ridewvYou're right because I bought a P226 NSW that Spring or Summer 2004 and it came with 10 round magazines. But since the ban had just ended Sig included a coupon in the case for full capacity magazines that the buyer could send in.

Black92LXI came across a 50th Golden Jubilee 210 locally in 2008 or 2009.
$1600
A freshly married young pup who just built his first house with a wonderful wife, I was not about to push that envelope to spend $1600 on a gun.
Figured I’d get a shooter 210 someday. Still waiting on someday.

$1,600, damn!
In 2004 I had been looking for a new P210 w/o much luck, the very few I were seeing advertised were around $1,800- $1,900 but out of stock. When that flyer arrived I noticed that one and thought "hmmm it's only $400 more than a regular one." The next day I called them and the sales person said yes we still have it but it's the only one". So I went ahead and bought that one from that flyer.

patwI miss the old CDNN catalogs and Shotgun news. I remember in one shotgun news I had years ago, Yugo ak-47 selling for $200 and they couldn't give them away. If I only knew.

jimmy123xI wish I had bought dozens of HK p7 psp's when I bought one for $629 back then!!!!!!!!!!!

ridewvI agree Jimmy. I bought 3, two A's and a B grade, then let a friend talk me out of the B. I should have bought more.
Also High Powers then because we could have bought new polished ones made in Belgium for $500. My hunch was HP's would go up so I bought 6 or 7 over the next few years but had to pay more than $500.
