Nah, without a doubt, a dislocated shoulder, they twisted that arm pretty damn good.
I've had a couple of those, not a fun day at the beach.

Don’t bring a gun-knife to a fight!
Delicious that Chris Rock got to deliver his Will Smith punchline a month after the fact. Fan-fucking-tastic

LA DA George Gascón will NOT bring felony charges against man who tackled Dave Chappelle while brandishing a knife
Hopefully Chappelle will make this guy into a subject of one of his routines.

Just wait, some group will fund an attorney to help this kid sue the venue or some of the individuals who delivered his well deserved punishment.

This might be a good turning point for the Gascon recall. If celebrities in LA dont feel safe in their ivory towers by having the DA in their pocket, they -might- turn on him publicly. Historically the LAPD/Sheriff and DAs office had a seperate playbook for LAs rich and famous. If they feel like they are in any way not getting the special protections that their elite class is accustomed too- they will throw a fit.

Originally posted by parabellum: I foresee a lawsuit in Mr. Chappelle's near future, and for his security detail and any other participants of the beatdown. It's not a matter of whether or not the guy had it coming. In a scenario such as this, an assailant needs to be subdued and then turned over to authorities ASAP. Once subdued, the entourage doesn't have the right to continue stomping some guy. Chappelle emerged from backstage and said he had been doing just that, and how he had wanted to do so in his career of 35 years.
This is unwise, to say the least, and I imagine it will cost financially Chappelle and some members of his crew.
A 23-year-old man named Isaiah Lee has been identified as the armed man who stormed the stage and tackled Chappelle to the ground. After the commotion, Chappelle thanked fellow comedian Jamie Foxx and rapper Busta Rhymes, for helping detain the man, but a rep for Chappelle says he was joking about their involvement.
Chappelle's rep, Carla Sims, told TMZ that Chappelle hopped right back on the mic with jokes after Lee was caught by security and that he was only joking that Busta and Jamies were stomping out the 23-year-old suspected attacker backstage.
At an after-party, Chappelle jokingly said the situation is bad when Jon Stewart can get some punches in. Sims told the outlet that was a joke, too, and said none of the three participated in Lee's detainment.
The LAPD says Lee was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after they recovered a replica gun that shoots out a blade when used properly. It's unclear if Lee, who was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, is seeking legal action after claiming excessive force by people backstage.
The clarification of who didn't participate, the outlet said, would help protect the three from possible legal action Lee might take.

Reading between the lines in this story, one can tell that Chappelle fears for his life, as well he should:
