I love my Bose.
It's amazing how less tired you feel when you're not hearing all that extraneous noise your entire flight.

If you are a military Veteran you can buy Bose from the online exchange. I bought mine there on sale for around $225 (I can’t remember the exact price).

This. I have the QC35s and they’re amazing. Maybe go with the QC25s? Not wireless but they are $100 cheaper. They’re just as good, otherwise — I used to have them.

If you travel frequently and have hotel and airline miles, look at those programs. Hilton Honors program points paid for my set of Bose QC35's.

I prefer in-ear, personally. I've been using the Bose wireless quiet control 30 for two years now an love them. The pros: 1) Don't interfere with sunglasses, 2) are cooler to wear for long periods, 3) more comfortable for long periods of use, 4) smaller and easier to store/ wear.

My wife has a pair of bose wired over the ear headphone. The sound quality is better (in my opinion), but my ears get hot, you can't just comfortably wear them around your neck when not using, the take up a lot of valuable carry-on space, and my ears will get really hot after a while.

Matte,

I sent you an email.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I prefer the in ear version. They’re a lot smaller to pack and more comfortable than the over the ear ones, plus they’re way better for sleeping. To me they’re worth every cent.

The bose quiet comfort 35 is a nice noise cancelling headset. I've compared them to the in ear quiet comfort 20 and prefer the in ear model, but their durability is awful.

If you want good noise cancelling and can tolerate your ears sweating, the qc35 is king.

I can only wear them for short periods, but on long flights, they are a necessity.

Like many Bluetooth headphones, the audio quality is acceptable. Battery life is great and they don't weigh very much.

The Sony 1000xm2 has arguably better sound quality, noise cancelling, and useful features, but are heavier / and don't have enough give for larger melons. They will squeeze your head like a clamp if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

I've used the cheaper brands, mainly over the ear, and now I use the Bose in ear wired unit. I use them in the gym, on flights, vacuuming, etc. paired with over the ear muffs, it gets really quiet, or you can enjoy music.

Amazon has the Bose QC 25 for $198.00

I have that model (they're over the ear) and they are a godsend on a plane.

I'll chime in with Fearsum on the Cowin's.

They cancel enough to not notice the distractions and the price is in my range.

I've had my set for almost a year with no problems and very good battery life.

Cheers

I do not like or buy into Bose speakers/marketing.

But it was, why did I not buy them sooner moment with my QC20. I like the in ears because, smaller to pack and they are lighter on your head than the over the ears. You can even sleep with them on when in Bus Class on international flights. There is a huge difference in the flight with them. No headaches, and feel more energy. Surprisingly turns a Chicago to NYC flight as if I was just taking a bus. Yes they are not cheap, but I have had my current set for over 4 years and I fly about twice a month.

I have the Beats version. My wife also.

At the time that I purchased them, ($299) they were about the same cost as the Bose, and in my testing at the store they seemed to work better.

It's been a few years. We've both been very happy with them. They're good for about 3 movies before needing charged.
