Johnny

We don't have paper products up here, but we have bread.

PM me an address, I'll get some bread out to you in the morning and a couple extra that you can freeze.

Consider it a Pandemic Karma if you will...and hey, the way things are going up here in MN, I might need to trade for some of that extra toilet paper you have! LOL

Johnny,

No worries, mate. We all have gotten a little 'Covid Crazy' during this mess.

I'm not near you, but I'm sure those that are can run your groceries for you. You are not of the age that should by running around in all of this.

My immune system is busted, and I'm not running around in this. It's time to let the kids take care of you. Let us know what you need.

Also reach out to your church members for support and help with food items or any other support you may need to get by for now until things settle down.
If you can't find any other, my UMC here in Richardson, Texas livecasts 2 services every Sunday morning. Anyone is welcome to watch. Link: https://www.fumcr.com/live. Right now, the entire church is doing it this way--the Sanctuary is empty of congregants the last 2 Sundays, and will be that way a while longer. Only the necessary participants are present. As a member of the Choir, it bothers me to not be there for the service, but even we are banished.

Hi Johnny, as others have said, there is nothing to apologize for. Everyone is in the same boat. If you would like, here is a link to our church services in Kentucky.

We understand your concerns. I think it's worse for older people (like myself) and you- to weather situations like this threat. We are aware of our mortality.

This is an understanding bunch, even through some personal differences that pop up. Please keep posting, if that helps your anxiety over this Coronavirus run.

You and your wife will ne okay. Be as strong as you can, and most of all, keep the faith.

Johnny, no apologizes necessary. I'm 66, at risk and I freak out watching the news so I try to avoid it. I'm at home for almost 2 weeks now and am getting a little cabin fever. At least I can go out back at my house and fish, even though nothing is biting. Hang in there, post whenever you want, it is good therapy to get things off your chest.

You owe no one an apology. The media is going out their way to scare the country into panic buying. As a fellow old timer (77), who works a part time job for something to do, I'm out three days a week for work and have been asked to work 5 days.

I have several elderly neighbors that I shop for on my four off days they are in their late 80's or early 90s.

Brother, don't fet yourself - these are hard times, with harder times to come, I have no doubt.

Sure, we don't live near each other - most of us, that is - and the miles are long. But we have THIS method of talking and sharing, and that is what SIG forum is all about. Think of it as a remote helping hand and a cheerful face.

We are ALL here, in the end, for each other, and that is all that matters.

Since you went through the trouble, I accept your apology. Now I wasn't offended, but rather understood your frustration. I hope folks really think hard before starting yet another Chinese Origin Virus thread. For myself, I can keep up with 3 or 4 of them, but no 15 of them.

You are not alone. We are all still here.

Those of us that have been on the forum for a long, long time , were waiting for it to happen. Giant events change the way people think or change their thinking. So if it wasn't you, it would have been one of four other people. Thanks for the apology

Today things took a bit of a positive turn.

A lady my wife knows owns and is the sole operator of a beauty/hair cut place. She gave my wife a large box of disposable gloves. My wife has been freaking out about gloves (?). 40 mile round trip and she has her gloves.

On the trip home I saw a bread delivery truck leaving a local employee owned market. I got my bread and even got some hot dog buns! Gas was $1.56, so my truck is full and there's no place to go.

I have spoken to our Pastor and with some assistance from his daughter (home from college) is going to try setting up a YouTube feed next Sunday. I told him to do a few practice runs so that he doesn't have the Uncle Joe/DNC issues Smile

Love you guys and Thanks again. We will get through this together.

I certainly appreciate the words of support from you, my Invisible internet friends.

Awesome to hear, sir! BTW...I see nothing for which you need to apologize.

You likely have Skype loaded on your computer. If not you can download it from Microsoft. You can make free video calls to other people. Maybe you could chat with some of your friends or relatives. Speaking to them live on your computer might be more encouraging than just a phone call.
