well, dph! you would have known that if you've watched one episode of the living dead. Actually, I didn't know that. I wouldn't have even bothered to stop if all the lights were out. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I've seen it both ways, but mostly on the inside. _______________________________ Do the interns get Glocks?

Years ago when I got a newspaper on the way to work, If Alice was late to open up there was a pile of dollar bills and change on top of the papers the paper guy left by the door. And no coffee.

In 2010, I was driving from Kentucky to Vermont. I was trying for a straight-through trip, fueled by cigarettes and 5hr energy shots. I would have made it had it not been for poor planning resulting in a near-empty condition in rural New York. I didn't have any "smart" functionality in my phone, and was without a comprehensive atlas or travel guide. The gas station I happened upon was closed until the next day. I couldn't risk exploring, so I found a nearby lighted parking lot and snoozed as best I could until the gas station opened the next day.
