Damn! She can beat them skins! Very impressive, very impressive indeed.

Cute giggle and smile at the end. She knew she nailed it!

Maybe. Maybe not.

It's been my experience that some young people can pick up very complicated stuff. My five year-old granddaughter can pretty well recite any cartoon opening theme after just one or two hearings. This doesn't translate into future success, but in her case time will tell.

I've known several "prodigies" that were astounding for their age. A young man named Robin Huff could play Hendrix and Clapton covers flawlessly when he was 17. Never went anywhere with it, as far as I know.

The thing is, almost anyone who devotes his time to study and practice to the exclusion of everything else will become proficient at it. Think of gymnasts, swimmers, acrobats and similar activities. Most of these require starting young when muscle memory is fresh and limber, and needs (food, clothing, medical, etc.) are provided.

Not to put the girl down, because she's got better drum chops than most of us will ever display, but I think if you remove Bonham's drumming from the backing track, you'll find she doesn't hit all the notes.

Edited to add: When I was in high school and just beginning to learn guitar, I borrowed a friend's drum kit for the summer. By the time he got his set back, I had Iron Butterfly's In-a-Gadda-da-Vida drum solo down pat. Of course, so did everyone else at that time. I should also add - I'm not now, nor have I ever been a drummer.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I always hate these things because usually it's horrible but this one is really good and I enjoyed it.
