I saw a truncated version of this on youtube but the full version is better. A most excellent speech which is even more pertinent today than it was when Gingrich gave the speech at Hillsdale College National Leadership Seminars on February 14 of this year.

Gingrich's remarks begin at the 19 minute mark.

Highly recommended

I've seen Newt speak countless times, met him many times. You wouldn't believe it, but I saw him give a speech on Medicare at the Nat. Press Club and it was like reading one of Tom Clancy's best books. I could not get enough. He can make any topic interesting.

Thank you. Shared with others.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

That was a great speech. I needed to hear it because quite frankly I've been a little depressed since the verdict came down. I'm extremely worried about President Trump and what they are doing and will do and I'm extremely worried about the future of our country. This speech cheered me up and gives me hope. It also turned me into a monthly donor. And I think I will increase the amount because I think Hillsdale will be instrumental in educating the youth in our country as opposed to indoctrinating them. All may not be lost.

"totally sincere totalitarians"

The catch here is "sincere" and the self-estimation of those feeling sincere.
