Thanks for the thread, Para. Have our flag flying from our balcony, as do several neighbors. Played Sousa marches at full volume all day. Patriotism is alive and well in Northern Nevada!

Happy Fourth. We are in troubled times. But the old lady will persevere.

I hope y'all that have kids and dogs will keep them quiet this morning. Some of us were up late last night setting off fireworks and want to get some sleep. Thank you in advance.

It started off as a really nice 4th - pool party at neighbors and then fireworks in the cul-d-sac. We launched 100+ mortars plus all kinds of other fireworks.
However, it got ruined as this useless sack of shit moving out tomorrow (actually moved out and closing on sale tomorrow) allowed her feral teens to have a party and then some moron posted the address on social media. We went from a nice, quiet (other than the fireworks), suburban neighborhood to hundreds of cars full of teenagers descending on the neighborhood. Despite families with small children being out some of the teens were driving recklessly. Police, fire, and ambulances arrived and at least one idiot ended up tased and arrested.

After church the Men of Faith group hosted a hot dog/hamburger cook at the facility. I bought and ate 2 hot dogs plus chips and fixings. Didn't go to a fireworks display, but folks in my AO began setting off stuff illegally around 2200--some were very loud. It was a good day. My Flag flies proudly 24/7, illuminated at night.
I hope all had a good celebration of our country's birthday.

I spent the 4th mounting a #3 cast iron bell on to the roof of my shop.
Then I let freedom ring!

For the last 2 years my B-I-L has set off a computer controlled display that is absolutely amazing. It was our place on the small lake here that for years, has lit up the edge of the lake with road flares to celebrate, quite a unique thing here in WNY.
I love this country with all my heart and will till the day I die!!
