That was me every time I picked up a grease gun on the farm. Gun covered in grease, then my hands, then it would drip who knows where, then I'd step in it, etc.

Yes! I bought some specifically for some TO-3's on a power supply project. Quite the mess afterward. Next project some time later, ended up having to buy another tube as the first had vanished into thin air.

I had completely forgotten about that stuff. I hated it so much, did nothing for my needs, but was impossible to clean up or keep in place.
