According to today's WSJ, Chick-fil-A seems to be hitting on all cylinders:
quote:
the closely held company this year is poised to become the third-biggest U.S. restaurant chain by sales behind McDonald’s Corp. and Starbucks Corp. , according to food-service consultancy Technomic Inc. The growth reflects Chick-fil-A’s expansion over the past decade, as well as consumers’ broader turn toward chicken.

Glad to know the left's sound and fury indeed has signified nothing. Smile

The way they handle lunch crowds is amazing. I went to one yesterday at lunchtime - despite the crowd I barely had to hit my brakes going thru the drive thru. Remote order takers, remote person to hand me my receipt, (correct) order waiting at window. Incredible. I have waited 10-15 minutes at other places with only one or two vehicles in the line.

I think I’m partially responsible for their success since I spend about $150 there 5 days a week doing lunches at hospitals as a medical rep. Big Grin

Their numbers would be even better if they would bring back the spicy breakfast biscuit.

And the cole slaw.

It is always refreshing to receive great service from very polite and friendly people at Chick-fil-A. This is a great company founded on great principles with a great product and a fair employment opportunity for American workers.

I am pleased to hear things are going well.

My wife has developed a routine to walk right in and pick up food and skip any line that may be there (which they DO move very quickly but standing in line with a 4 and 2 year old for more than 2 minutes just isn't cutting it), she orders via the CFA app from the parking lot and by the time we get the kids out of the car and in the door and to a table, the food is ready.

A Chick-fil-A opened here 2 or 3 years ago about 2 1/2 miles from my house. What good luck! Big Grin Unbelievable how busy they stay all day long. I've been eating there one meal a week.

Actually, I've recently found Burger King is pretty good. And their ice tea is not bad at all.

but, I have heard rumors that they are struggling to meet debt obligations.
