And why are their coats two different lengths? Are female coats just shorter normally?
So they can sit to pee?

straightshooter01You would think that they would be made out of velcro so when the gravity drive goes out they would stick to the walls..

All three of those guys were Army (Olds was West Point), who transitioned to a 'new' service branch, which then went on to achieve great things. . .

ftttuI expect something bold and different being that it is the newest branch, and because it relates to space/technology. Also, how do you design a uniform for a service people who will never wear the uniform in the medium they are associated with - space?
I’m not totally against what I’m seeing here, but I strongly believe the tie and collar being barely visible is ridiculous. It appears they are almost an afterthought. They can and should do better.

Well, I was in the Air Force for over 20 years, and I was never flight crew. Many Navy guys never go to sea. Many Army/Marines never go into the field. . .

Agreed. That is a hideous uniform. I thank God I never had to wear that. . .

It appears they tried to take a traditional “choker” collar (think of the USMC dress blues) and tried to open it up with a tie added. It just looks dumb.

MikeinNC^^^ WRT the choker top and tie …looks like USAF long sleeve with tie and that horrendous blouse(both the mens and womens)
And WTF with the big coin thingy under the ribs on the left side
I’d have made the tops black…and I’m ok with grey pants(hides dirt well)

My first thought as well. Is it to make it look like
everyone who wears the uniform has served in some special capacity and therefore warrants something like the OSD ID badge?

MikeinNCI can tell by the big gay uniform you’re in the space force…you don’t need the saucer under your boob

So, the, ahem …,
distinctive uniform isn’t enough to indicate what branch of service they’re in?
But I sorta guessed right: “We are
really special and have an ID badge to prove it.”
I am usually pretty tolerant of how organizations and other groups want to set themselves off from the common crowd, but I predict that although some of this will attract attention, it may not be what was anticipated or wanted.

GraniteguyThey literally replicated the Star Trek Federation badge? Really?
Here's some news for you Mr. & Mrs. Space Jockey - we haven't stepped back on the moon since 72 - you're not going anywhere relevant in your lifetime. No Klingons. No Nebula System. No transporters. Nope.
