Is anyone else getting "Gun News USA" emails all the time or am I the only unlucky one to be getting these cluttering up my junk email box?

At first when I started getting them, they seemed like harmless emails of gun news, but of course trying to get you to click links to go to whatever website for more info or news. My first thought is what firearms related website sold them my email address.

I never clicked any links in the emails other than about a month ago I finally clicked the unsubscribe link. Then a few more weeks do it again because I keep getting emails from them which now start seeming skeezy/scam like. Still keep getting emails in my junk folder from their same email address so obviously not a legit gun owner friendly operation. The latest email definitely proved to me that they are not legit.

So if anyone gets any emails with Gun News USA at the top of the email body, just flag it as spam and don't pay anymore attention to them or try to unsubscribe from them because they do not abide by the unsubscribe request.

Thanks for the heads up. Depending on what you are using for email you might be able to create a rule in settings to delete that email automatically.

I use Thunderbird for my Email. Not sure how to set that up to auto delete, but I may browse around to see if there is a way to automate that.

I just thought it was strange to get these emails specifically about firearms. Somehow they got info about me from somewhere to target me with firearm related emails and I was just wondering if there were other gun owners that are targeted by this.

I don't buy from unknown, sketchy websites. I stick with larger established and some smaller trusted sites for my firearm related purchases. I do have to admit that there are one or two well established sites that I am starting to worry about them selling customer info out to others.

No Gun News spam, but today I got an email "from" my ISP saying I needed to update a piece of software...that I don't have. And a text message from a 339 area code (Massachusetts) stating my credit union card had been used for a large 4 figure purchase and to click the link to confirm or deny it. I don't have a CU "card."

And of course the incessant political text messages out of Pennsylvania where I haven't lived in over 50 #$%^Y YEARS! Last one was reminder to mail in my ballot. Frown

You can't block political text messages unfortunately and those I've tried to contact in PA about their corrupt voter roles have done squat in response.

...and Yes, this should probably be in "What's your deal!"

Yes. Don't ever touch an unsubscribe link for anything you've never subscribed to.

Thanks, That should help for Filtering Through Thunderbird.

My email provider is actually Apple, I just like to use Thunderbird for my email app on my PC. Does anyone know if you can set up filters for individual email recipients through Apple iCloud to block or auto delete them from even getting to the junk mail folder?

Probably but have not done it myself as I don't use that but below should help. At the very bottom it suggests you could contact Apple support also.
