Video in story's link. He has been coming out after games and spending time with fans.

Time and time again, we’ve seen examples of head coach Mark Pope understanding the assignment for Kentucky basketball.

Whether it’s beating Duke, winning big road games, or embracing the fanbase, Pope clearly gets what it means to be the head coach of the Wildcats.

And boy, was that clear Saturday night when Kentucky scored a thrilling 95-90 win at No. 14 Mississippi State. Not only did Pope guide his Cats to another signature win, but he also got to celebrate the victory with a fan.

As captured by Adam Townsend on Twitter, Pope was seen meeting a fan in the stands who was in a wheelchair, along with his family, following the game.

It’s a very touching moment for Pope to make his way into the stands after an emotional victory to make sure that fan felt the love and got to live up what was a very fun win for Kentucky.

Pope is authentic and a breath of fresh air.

Congratulations on a great start!

Yes Mark Pope seems to be the real deal, one night after a game, he was late to his post game conference, bought everyone who stayed an Ice Cream at Rupp.

Ice Cream at Rupp is a thing.

Love the fact that this is a team of misfits so to speak, he had to start over from scratch when Calipari left and all the players bolted.

Go Big Blue.

Mama and the youngest boy went to the UK Men’s vs Brown game and the boy was bummed he did not get ice cream because the line was literally around the concourse the entire time.

We took the whole crew to the UK Women’s vs Mississippi State and it was the same way.

Taking the whole crew to the UK Men’s vs LSU hopefully we’ll get to try it then.

There is a less used one, behind, not sure, section 24/23 (facing the opposite direction of the busiest one) that usually has a shorter line, sometimes even none at all, particularly if you hit it early.
