I suspect Elon knows what he is doing and already has things in motion.

Polls closed…per Zerohedge 17.5 million votes cast.

Yes: 57.5%

No:43.5%

He’s fond of tweeting “The people have spoken.”

Now what?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

Maybe his next tweet should be “Anyone who voted yes in this poll will receive a 30-day ban due to lack of appreciation for the new owner!”

Like I said, if he steps down, it's because he wanted to. The poll was just an excuse. He probably already knows who will replace him, and in fact, that person may even be more objectionable to the left than Elon. Basically telling the libs, careful what you wish for.

He's the only owner.

Yeah, CEO or not, he makes the calls ultimately. It just might make some libs feel better is all. Perhaps that's his goal. Take his face off of the product.

A major stockholder in Tesla was making noise the other day about Musk being too distracted with Twitter. It's not hard to figure.

Also, keep in mind that leftists in general are so ill-informed and so ignorant, they thought that when Donald Trump was impeached, it meant his immediate removal from office.

So, if Musk steps down as CEO, most of these people are too clueless to understand that CEO or no, Musk is the sole owner of Twitter.

Enjoy the show

I can think of a short list that would freak the left out way more than Musk.

I wonder if this guy would like a job, at least for a little while. He has the experience Smile

Yeah, you're right. Elon Musk is "dumb".

And you didn't even have to finish your sentence.

Musk is proving himself to be as smart as a guy in his position should be. And he is a masterful troll. I’m certain the rollercoaster the leftists will be on over this is vastly entertaining for him.

Right now, his opponents are probably giddy with the prospect of him being “out”, but whoever he picks as a replacement will be doing his bidding to the letter. They will go from giddy to apoplectic with seething rage when the platform does not go back to the good old days.

I cannot wait to see the assholes self destruct haha.

LOL !!! What better way to have millions of new people sign up for accounts in Twitter so they can vote on the poll. Lefty Loons not playing checkers but instead playing Chutes and Ladders while Musk is playing 4D Chess. God Bless !!! Smile

Imagine the majority of Twatters are still lefty leaning, it's only been a short while and many conservatives abandoned it as the people they wanted to follow got banned.

Many people left Twitter when Trump got banned
have a Twatter account but never really use it or log in and found out about the poll here, after it was over...

I had an account I never used, and think I deleted it a couple years ago when they banned the Hunter Biden Laptop story.

I have been amused and disgusted that a lot of "news" now is nothing more than twitter screen captures pasted into an article. It shows how much the MSM thinks Twitter is real life, when it is really just their echo chamber.

You understand that people can be smart and dumb at the same time, right? Or that smart people can do dumb things? Or say dumb things?

I don't think Elon ever intended to entrench himself in the day-to-day running of Twitter. Once you get stuck in that swamp, it's hard to extricate yourself. He's always been a guy with a lot of irons in the fire, always looking for the next project or challenge.

This way of handing over the reins is just more fun.
