I don’t think this falls under conspiracy theories so here goes. 10 billion a year in sports book betting means somebody is cheating somewhere. Somebody is laying down, somebody is dropping a ball, it’s real.

I don’t know how this happened so fast but sports betting is taking over the game. About every third or fourth commercial is a gambling commercial of some sort. Hell, even the reporters segue into the over under, point spread, etc.

I’m not a big govt guy but for fucks sake if you can’t advertise a cigarette on tv then you shouldn’t be able to advertise gambling. This is going to hit society sooner rather than later.

I’ve also had this pointed out to me by someone recently that sports betting is absolutely taking over and it may, in fact be even having an effect on referees and how they call games.

Hypnotic. I think one of them was good for a first down.

Question for you Philly Pholks; Is Jalen Hurts losing it, or are there fundamental coaching and other personnel related problems that means he can't play with the effectiveness he showed in prior years?

For example, RGIII was fantastic, until he wasn't. But he also had a knee injury, bad coaching, and had to play for Washington.

I think there is a lot behind the scenes that we don't know about, it appears there is a whole lot of dysfunction with this team they've managed to hide for the first half of the season but it started to show. One commentator even said it looked like this team couldn't wait to just get that last game over with and get away from each other.

It seems to me that the players lost confidence in the HC and gave up in the past 4-6 weeks.

Jalen Hurts has been playing injured all season too and I think he's not been letting on just how hurt he is, but he's not playing like last year at all. My FIL also has a theory that he plays the way he does partly because he's short at 6',1" for a QB and often cannot SEE over all the players on the field to be able to effectively throw the ball, that's why he's always throwing to the side or running with it.

Supposedly I'm hearing that the Eagles owner and GM are going to NOT fire HC Nick Sirianni which IMO is nuts. The buck stops with that guy and he let that team fall apart and deserves to be shown the door.

I don’t see how they can’t fire Sirianni. He doesn’t seem to have the abilities to manage all the talent the team has. The Eagles were ranked very high this year, but played like The Pigeon’s. Sorry for offending pigeons.

It doesn't appear that the Eagles GM and owner are going to fire HC Nick Sirianni after all. They are cleaning house of the coaches below him but his job seems safe for now. That's crazy to me as the HC is the Captain of the ship, and he ran that ship aground and then blew it up. WTF Roll Eyes

Sounds like they may have gave Siriani the same ultimatum Seahawk ownership gave Pete Carrol, change your coaches and ways or, we'll make the changes. Carrol said no, so they showed him the door. Siriani said ok, thus the changes.

Well what I have been hearing a lot is that Sirianni was hired because he's a "yes-man" and he probably did just what you described to save his own ass.
