Just about every TV show for the last 5-10 years has painted the white male husband role as a bumbling moronic idiot who is proud if he can put his pants on the right way in the morning. The female/wife/girlfriend role is the brains of the family. Of course the kids are often portrayed as smarter than both parents, because wall know this is how America really works.

People wonder why I stopped watching Network TV a while back.

Just portrayed on TV in general.

Archie Bunker
Al Bundy
Red Forman

I go on but everyone gets the point.

It started there and just got more pervasive.

Moved to commercials and more sitcoms to play the fools.
