Any experience with General G-MAX JUSTICE tires.
As the title suggests. Anyone have experience with this tire?

I ask because a friend is in need of a set of tires for her 2014 Subaru Outback. But she has aftermarket 18" wheels. I have found some General G-MAX JUSTICE for a good price while I looking for Ultra High Performance All Season tires for my car. The General G-MAX AS 05 tires came up in my research for my car and has high marks/good reviews.

When my friend asked me about tires for her Subaru Outback I found the General G MAX JUSTICE and they looked the same. The only difference I have found is the G MAX JUSTICE has 400 treadwear and the G MAX AS 05 has a 500 treadwear.

As a side note, after I researched these tires, earlier this evening a neighbor and I were waiting for the police to take a report of vandalism of some of his commercial rental property. When he showed up and we were talking to him, I noticed that the officers Ford Explorer had a set of the General G MAX JUSTICE tires. So that peaked my interest even more.

So, anyone have experience with one or the other or even better both?

Thanks!

Never heard of them, but I'll say the treadwear number doesn't mean a thing.

Don't cheap out on tires. Do buy tires that are suited for what's important to you (or her).

I put a set of General Altimax RT on the wife's CR-V last year. They have been solid tires. Quiet ride, smooth and good traction in rain or snow. If memory serves, they were rated around 70,000. Very reasonable on TireRack.

Interesting tire. A premium offering.

I'd bet it is not the quietest tire but if she's not racking up long peaceful highway mileage for work and pleasure, it may be a non-issue.

Well, the General G MAX AS 05 is an Ultra High Performance Tire, this tire is in the Ultra High Performance All Season category and it's one of the top performers in that category. It's a quality tire, at a good price but not a "cheap" tire.

When my friend asked me about tires to replace hers, wanting All Season tires, I looked at the General G MAX AS 05, but there was nothing in her size. 225/60r18. What I did find was the General G MAX JUSTICE. That is General Tires Police Pursuit tires. There are only three tires in that category. Certified Police Pursuit tires.

When I looked at the specs, the only difference I saw between them was the treadwear. The tread pattern and all looks just like the General G MAX AS 05 Ultra High Performance All Season tires. So I was wondering if these two tires performed the same. If not what IS the difference?

I have found a few places that have the General G MAX JUSTICE at a good price. I'm just wondering if they are worth a look.

I put the AS05 on my daughter’s car. Only 4k miles so far but they have performed admirably

I've had a great experience with General tires and will look at them when searching for new ones. I havent drove on the Justice model but overall I like the brand.

Be aware if looking at cop tires, they are starting to have allweather tires but overall some are for wet/snow and some are better for dry summer roads. Make sure you match the season for your friends application.

The Justice most likely has a slightly softer compound than the AS-05. Therefore a lower tread wear rating.
