irreverentReds cab Sauvignon, or a Malbec from Argentina.
Whites light go Sauvignon Blanc anything from Marlborough (NZ).
Also like Russian river ranch. Best of luck. I’m sure she’ll be delighted with anything, but if you can, find out if she prefers one to the other. I myself prefer light whites, but many connoisseurs prefer reds for more body.

sjtillI'm from Sonoma County so biased, but actually my personal favorite is the Thomas Fogarty pinot noir, made in the hills above Stanford in Palo Alto. Very smooth and silky.
My ICU nurses gave me a case when I retired from working in a hospital nearby.

RNshooter https://www.totalwine.com/red-...2EAQYASABEgLVpPD_BwETry the Ferrari-Carano Cabernet Sauvignon 2014.
My in-laws brought by a bottle tonight and it was delicious. And they are wine snobs.

smschulzI kind of agree on Champagne for an occasion but a superb wine would be
Brunello di Montalcino.
They need to be a little aged and some are under $100 - a spectacular wine.

Stealthy4Duckhorn, Silver Oak, and Caymus are all good choices in the 60$ range. Darioush is better but will put you at the 100$ limit

megabyteI spend too much time imbibing $20-$30 wine. When I’m after something for a celebration, it’s always Stag’s Leap Artemis. BRL gave you great advice.
