It won't take
any time. I already know that she's a sellout.

parabellumDoes this strike you as a light-hearted thread? Do I seem to be in a jovial mood?
October 31, 2019, 02:51 PM
old rugged crossSorry, I figured since she was doing the same thing as a few other former high profile tv employees have done it was not a emotionally charged topic. I should of read more of the posts. Again, my apologies.

cne32507Herridge was mine and my wife's favorite. She was an original with Fox News. Now days we associate Fox News more and more with the opinion shows. No more "Fair & Balanced" news; they are the MSNBC of the right. Herridge said "facts matter" several times when commenting on her leaving. Not really any room there for a straight-up reporter of Washington. Good reporters, as we all agree she is, do not let personal viewpoints color the report. And Herridge NEVER biased her reports, even when she was asked by the Fox anchors to comment with her opinion. Fox News does want reporters with integrity. But neither does CBS. Herridge will continue to report the facts, though. Maybe CBS will let her run, maybe she will be pushed aside like Sharon was. Norah O'Donnell is now the head of CBS Evening News and she saw an opportunity to snare a really good reporter with great contacts already in place. Also her contract was up. I hope for the best for her and
do not question her integrity.

parabellumYeah, well, before today, I
would not have questioned her integrity, but now I
do.

TubetoneI always thought she was left-leaning. I saw, in what I heard from her over the years, that she seemed to catch herself.
She seemed to me to be trying to appear neutral - as an old-school reporter was taught to do.
Appear neutral even if you aren't.
Who knows, maybe she's just going home?

Norah isn’t going to allow her to be fair and balanced. Not in a million years. She’s about as rabid a liberal as you’ll see.

Strider41She needs to talk to Sharyl Attkisson about how independent investigative reporters are treated by CBS. Sharyl left CBS because they would not air her reporting.

Really? So, you've been reporting lies and half truths all these years?

cne32507According to CBS, she will continue to report of national security news as she did at Fox. Whether she's a GDC or whether she's an alt-right knuckle-dragger doesn't matter as she will report the facts and just the facts for whoever she works for. I don't have to agree with any reporter's personal politics; I'm not considering marrying her, fer chrissake.
Now about marrying Norah, well, got me there.

smschulzYou know I
really was trying to make my way back to the plantation but I heard her on Tucker Carlson tonight and didn't get the impression that she was so vile.
I know Fake News CNN reported she was saying that "facts matter" was due to her disgust with Fox News hence the "sellout" to CBS.
Maybe there are other factors other than {fill-in-the-blank} that are going on here?
I guess we ought to wait and see.
If she then performs as everyone thinks (anti-conservative) THEN maybe pile on at that time.

TMatsMy wife said her contract was up. No idea whether or not that means that FOX just declined to renew her contract.

SigmundAlisyn Camerota left Fox for CNN five or six years ago, I don't remember why.

TigerDoreWell, now we know what she is, but do we know how much she costs?

Rick LeeLeon Harris left CNN for a local news station in NoVA. I have a friend who works there and said they offered him ridiculous money. That's a local, Arlington, VA station way outbidding CNN. Jake Tapper was the only real journalist on network news (after Sheryl Atikisson was canned), and he still left NBC for CNN. Plenty of folks on Fox used to work at CNN too. So I think most of those guys follow the money.

I just want
NEWS, damnit! As closely as humanly possible to unbiased, unexpurgated reporting of the actual facts.
They want to add analysis and commentary: Fine, but keep it apart from the actual reporting of the facts. All the facts, not cherry-picked bits and pieces to suit a narrative.
