Governments Urged to Close All Airports by 2050 to Meet ‘Climate Target’ Here is their blueprint Screenshots of their summary: Q

From the linked article/ report:
No mention of how this would be paid for, other than the implication that the common man will need to tighten his belt considerably. It's simply not sustainable, and all for a mostly manufactured crisis. (I say mostly because man undoubtedly has an impact on "global warming", however miniscule it might be; and my belief is that climate change is due almost entirely to causes beyond our control, and even our comprehension.) I feel sorry for our children and grandchildren. Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet. - Dave Barry "Never go through life saying 'I should have'..." - quote from the 9/11 Boatlift Story (thanks, sdy for posting it)

Thank you Very little |
OTOH, one could read it as a warning about the absurdity of the UK's Climate Change Act. The warning is what the "elites" in academia believe will be necessary to achieve the requirements of the act the UK politicians put into law. None of what they propose is realistic, stop eating beef and Lamb, close all airports but 3 by 2030 and stop all flying by 2050, just to meet the letter of the law...

Say we cut back a handful of percent, then the human population grows a fair bit, did we get very far? Yes, for the totally deranged, no kids & pedal the bike to work(or Govt assistance) office may be the response. Of course the other side of the world marches in, while we hamstring ourselves. Like the out of control rabbit population(no predators) eventually a control takes a toll.

This as the fuckwads continue to gain traction with their foolishness. RMD TL Davis: “The Second Amendment is special, not because it protects guns, but because its violation signals a government with the intention to oppress its people…” Remember: After the first one, the rest are free.

Per mile, driving a car is far more dangerous than flying. Per person transported, flying is far more energy efficient than driving. In terms of man hours and the economic impact, flying is far better. Really the proposals are designed to seriously deter human movement, and reduce product movement. Closing airports makes transportation much less available and much more expensive. There's no rational belief that climate will be impacted by any of the nonsense including this.

Wait, what? |
I’ve been saying exactly this in regards to the push for electric vehicles and the lack of both infrastructure and surplus electricity to make them even remotely feasible. Throw in the recent international travel “vaccine passport” talk which our asshole-n-chief signed off on with the EU and it becomes more apparent by the day that not only do the globalists want to restrict travel for all but the elites, but they want us at each others throats through openly divisive policy and inaction. Maybe we need a “great reset” after all, but not what the elitist assholes are expecting. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Fly-Sig and Gearhounds. What I’ve been saying for the last 2 years. This is all about restricting our mobility, nothing less. The same goes for digital currency/ social credit scoring.

Great, and often overlooked point, about limiting our mobility. TRUTH. I'll bet the "academic elites" who wrote this paper won't stop flying. No, they never associate with we peasants.

So, they're extremists...full-blown, blinders-on extremists. Their suggestion, you need to cease EVERYTHING that you're currently doing. They should've just called in de-evolution or de-civilizing; saying all technological advances from the past were mistakes and work to undue them, purge them from the books, punish those who utilize any harmful methods.

When I watch, or read, the global warming alarmists scientific reports, their data states things like the sea level rise is "3 millimeters". In addition to not being anything resembling their catastrophic predictions, a 3mm rise in the sea level is impossible to measure. .

Wouldn't it be better to just get rid of the "elites"? "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

In effect, Irony, because these elites are listing the required steps the UK government has to take in order to meet the requirements of the Clean Act they already passed into law. One can read it as the lunacy of Elites suggesting what the world needs to do to combat Climate change, however you could read it as it is showcasing the incompetence of the Parliament members and the UK governments action on climate change by highlighting what they will have to do it meet their own standards, by law.... It's all a matter of perspective...

Ignored facts still exist |
I have found that most of their solutions are not feasible, optimal and/or practical. Solar Power Wind Power Electric Cars no airports Stopping road projects I'm not seeing a lot of overall thought in their solutions, mainly because those "in charge" do not have scientific minds. Take coal. The way coal is consumed now differs from how it was consumed 100 years ago, but you can't tell them that. .
