I use the Outlook calendar linked to the calendar on my iPhone for that type thing. It works well, with a reminder each morning. *** "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam (I will either find a way or make one)." -- Hannibal Barca

My wife and I use google calendar. I can access it on my phone or any computer. We add each other to future events and that way we are both aware. You can add numerous reminders so you don't forget. If I had to remember every appointment, event, or such I would be in rough shape. "We've done four already, but now we're steady..."

As for remembering events: I put such things in my iThings Calendar app and put the originating year in parenthesis in the title. As for "time passed": Dunno. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system,,,, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe "If we let things terrify us, life will not be worth living." -- Seneca the Younger, Roman Stoic philosopher

iDevices come with a Reminder app that can be set for periodic intervals, such as daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom intervals defined by the user. There's probably something similar for Windows and / or Android users. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Reminder is the app I use on iPhone. "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." I remember my Oma had like the last 5-10 calendars on the wall behind each other and could at a glance, see what was up on each day years past. I think they call it a journal, diary or something like that.

Remembering stuff is your wife's job. As you become older it becomes full time. If she is not willing get a sweet young thing to do the job. Just make sure she is of age and can drive a car. You could make a movie called "Driving Mr. Bendable.

It's called Google Sheet or any other spreadsheet. Below is a truncated screenshot of of the milestones I keep track of such as how many days I'm projected to still live, my wedding anniversary, and such. The last one I decided to mark was how many days since Russia invaded Ukraine. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I use Mrs. A. for that, she can tell me exactly when a particular event occurred, who was there, an even, most of the time, who said what. Perhaps I am more forgetful because I really don't care as much?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
I use Google Calendar and set reminders as needed. That way it's on my computer, phone and I-pad or anywhere I can get internet if the other three weren't available. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

My work has been about tracking metrics and whether whatever target is being achieved or was achieved. People’s annual bonuses depended on whether targets are achieved. So it’s serious business when you’re talking about taking money off someone’s dinner table. If you don’t measure, you can’t improve or know whether you were successful. My target associated with how many days I have left to live is for my days in retirement to be equal to or greater than the days I have left. That would mean I have lived half of the remaining days since I stopped working in that condition of not having to work for a living. I consider myself successful in having tasted retirement. I would consider it a roaring success if I reach my target. In contrast, early in my career, two people died while still working. One had millions saved plus a self-sustaining business on the side. He’s the one who asked regularly how much a million dollars would spin off every year and I can see he would multiply the number in his head by however many millions he had. He got sick still not retired and died. The other one was just old and still working for whatever reason. We all saw him walking around on Friday, Monday we got the news he died. The whole company took off work for his memorial service. Those were very important lessons for me and gave me the goal of at least tasting and enjoying retirement before I die. This message has been edited.
