I actually like the first song.
They kept the gutteral voices and they had meaningful lyrics. So it wasn't just a "Let's make a copy cat metal music album.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I've never been a 'heavy metal fan'. Whatever their genre is, I'm going after more of it.
This is powerful music, stunning scenery and speaks on many levels.
Thanks for posting.

I saw this a while back. They're doing what the Scandinavians have been doing for awhile now, with the "Viking" metal.

They are going to remake an old American classic R&B song: “Yakkity Yak”.

I like these guys!
do a search for "Folk Metal" First I stumbled across this great genre was an Eluveitie video. reactions like.. "OMG, is that a hurdy gurdy in metal?" "WTF! he's hugging a bagpipe like he misses his teddy and he's F#I@ing rocking it!"
Eluveitie, Amon Amarth, Hu.. Actual hard rocking meaningful music without repetitive nonsense like thrash, or just evil for the sake of The Edgy like death...
Rock on.
