Yep. I've been to China and eaten "authentic" Chinese food. I nearly starved. I much prefer the "Americanized" version. Sorry. And I don't know what you folks mean by "clean" food (never heard that term before), but to me it suggests it's sanitary, with no dirt or germs in it. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

"Clean" food meant to me that it hadn't been on the floor longer than 3 seconds. God's mercy: NOT getting what we deserve! God's grace: Getting what we DON'T deserve! "If the enemy is in range, so are you." - Infantry Journal Bob P239 40 S&W Endowment NRA Viet Nam '69-'70

Let's learn to discern a fuckup from a plan. The simplest scenario is that this was not "savvy" or some sort of ploy. You're giving someone an awful lot of credit when they still look like a dolt. "Clean" is an ambiguous term and in this case for hipsters, posers, and hypochondriacs. Frankly, making real food out of natural ingredients has long just been called "eating right," or "common sense." "Clean" is taking it somewhere it doesn't need to go. I try to avoid eating garbage, because it makes sense if you want to be healthy. I don't go out of my way to "eat clean," or tell anyone about it. It sounds like it's the new version of Vegan Crusader type nonsense. "Oh you don't eat clean? You're a monster." If the food and service are good, that's all that matters because that is what actually will grow the business. I've changed my mind though, I'm all about cultural appropriation now. So this means: Only Chinese people can work at: Panda Express and other chinese restaurants Only Italians can work at: The Olive Garden, Sbarro's etc. Mexicans Only at: Taco Bell, Margarita's etc. So, the Black folk get: Popeye's, KFC, Bojangles, BBQ and soul food establishments etc. Lastly, ONLY white people can work at: McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Chic-Fil-A, Ruddfuckers, TGI Fridays, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesdays, Buffalo Wild Wings, and more. If any non-white people own or work at these establishments, they are appropriating caucasian culture and should be ashamed of themselves. Pretty much anyone can work at The Cheesecake Factory though... I don't know what is going on in there and neither do they. So yeah, cultural appropriation totally makes sense in the scope of who owns and operates a restaurant. Clearly anyone can open a restaurant and make it successful, regardless of what type of food and the ethnicity of the people. If the food and service are good, who gives a fuck. The SJW effort to divide people into little boxes, is the most bigoted, racist, backward attitude out there, masked as "tolerance," it is anything but. If they are going to do it, they need to do it right, and I want to see them picket a Wendy's to only hire white people. Yeah, that 'cultural appropriation' thing is gonna be a genuine problem if ever we get down to the nitty gritty. That place in Mall food courts- Bourbon Street Grill. Bourbon Street, as in New Orleans. Every one that I've ever been to was fully staffed with Asians. I like the food, but I fear that my deep Southern culture has been appropriated. Here's a brief review from a Canadian food blog. https://pennyandrusty.wordpres...-typical-asian-food/ ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

The hot dog carts in Center City are being taken over by Asians (they are branching out from a monopoly on fresh cut fruit carts). Yo, what happen'd to the Sout' Philly Italians? Or the German built like a tugboat who served up the most delicious sausages with that perfect charred casing? Those were the people I trusted with my food prep. A skinny vegetarian selling dogs and kielbasa? Nope.

I've heard the term eating clean since the mid 80's when a friend of mine was involved in body building. I've heard it since then with many high level athletes. Nothing new and I can't believe it even became a story.

I thoroughly agree. This is just another case of, "The Truth is Racist" narrative. Of all the enemies the American citizen faces, the Democrat Party is the very worst.

A few thoughts... - Very little of the "Chinese Food" found in N. America would be found in China - Most native Chinese aren't fans of what we call Chinese food - Strip mall Chinese food is pure junk, loaded with calories and usually overcooked - If someone said Asians could only have Asian restaurants, the SJW crowd would have strokes their outrage would spike so fast. - - I wonder if the SJW crowd would freak out of a Cambodian opened a Soul Food restaurant. - Most of the Japanese restaurants in SE Mich are actually owned by Koreans. Should there be outrage at Koreans for stealing Japanese heritage for profit? - I'd visit her restaurant and give it a try to see how it tastes. I think the "Wok in, Take Out" sticker on the front is a great idea and they should do it. Any one that is offended can just wok away and not eat there. Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.
