As a police officer? No - the law doesn’t allow for that. Well more accurately, nothing beyond telling them to keep their mouth shut and ensure that they had good counsel. As President, yes. I don’t think Hunter Biden is a saint, but I also don’t think he ever robbed someone, murdered someone, etc. I’ll stand by my assertion that Joe Biden’s pardon of Hunter Biden is a complete non issue. There’s plenty of things to dislike Biden for, I just don’t see this issue as one of them.

I'm not surprised at all FJB pardoned his son. However if I read this correctly it pardons everything from VP Biden taking office for 10 years.

That seems to cover more crimes, many more, than we know about (I didn't say suspect). Infuriating!

I also agree this is Joe pardoning himself by not allowing an investigation to implicate him.

Does not matter that DJT had a major victory comeback.

Or that the Senate and the House are Right of center.

And that the possibility of another SCOTUS appointment or even two are within realization.

That the appointment of strong people to various positions by the President Elect give great powers to work on dismantling the anti-constitutional administration that has had a boot on the neck of all Americans is likely to roll back treachery.

Let's just piss on all of that because some might see this "pardon" as a magic "Get Out Of Jail Free" card with blanket coverage for generations forward and backward for hundreds of years.

I never doubted for one moment that Hunter would be pardoned. Now the Left, claims it was a political prosecution. Yeah, the Justice Department, part of the Executive, controlled by President Biden, went after poor Hunter for political reasons. Did the Justice Dept., and the man Joe Biden personally selected for A.G., Merrick Garland, go rogue?

Yes it was hyperbole to equate Al Capone to Hunter Biden, in fact it was sarcasm.

Justice has in fact been perverted by a man holding the highest office in the land pardoning his son. I stand by my statement that it is purely a selfish act and furthermore it perverts and erodes any confidence that laws are applied equally in our society.

To say it is a non issue is nonsense.

It was obvious from the beginning that as Joe Biden (and a leftist Democrat), he is ostensively a liar. We all knew this was coming; let’s hope the middle of the road democrats are as disgusted as we are but I won’t hold my breath.

Joe didn't do this out of love for his son. This was a strategic move. Since prosecution of Hunter is no longer possible, shredders will be working full time to destroy all evidence of Biden crime family corruption. Until now, it may have been illegal to destroy the files if there were investigations ongoing into Hunter re Burisma, China, etc.

Thus Joe has green-lit purging all evidence against him, Jill, his brother, and Hunter. If he'd waited until January 19 to pardon Hunter, there wouldn't have been time to purge the files before Trump's administration.

Hunter can be compelled to testify, but there may not be any remaining hard evidence to use against the Bidens.

Could, in theory, the DOJ [still] investigate all the Hunter crimes and subsequently recover all the wrongly acquired money?

Along the way of the investigation, the DOJ could in turn uncover any accomplices and bring charges against him (ie., Joe) or them (unknown persons)?
